How thankful were you this holiday? Or any day for that matter?

I’ve always been told that you should be appreciative of what others give you. That unlike you, there’s someone out in the world who has nothing, but nobody said anything about being disappointed.

When you got your gifts this holiday, how did you react?
Were you really excited, or only trying to hide your disappointment?
Also, if you dislike the gift, are you returning it the next day?

The only thing I can say this holiday is being thankful for health, life, family, and another year. The gifts, eh, nothing to brag about.

Aw, I'm sorry. :c I think it's totally okay to not be 100% happy with everything everyone gives you, but the fact that someone is giving you something is what you need to appreciate.

When you got your gifts this holiday, how did you react?
Well, I was happy with everything I got, because my friends really know me and I got some great stuff. Plus we were all together and laughing and having fun, so I was just in the mood to be happy with everything.

Were you really excited, or only trying to hide your disappointment?
I was really excited.

Also, if you dislike the gift, are you returning it the next day?
I didn't get anything I disliked! But if I did, I probably would return it, yeah.

when i got my gifts, I was very thankful I don't ever like to think selfishly or act ungrateful because I'm lucky enough to have certain possessions in my life & it'll hurt to have my blessing taken away

I liked my gifts...but I don't really show it, so I guess i look ungrateful. But I mainly just like hanging with my bro and sister during holidays.

I'm always grateful for the things I receive, and I'm never disappointed because as a matter of fact I never have high expectations in what concerns Christmas, or any other festivities where gifts are the main attraction. I actually never ask for presents, and the more surprised and happy it makes me when someone furnishes me with an unexpected endowment. But the biggest pleasure was brought to me by the happy, and grateful reactions of my family and friends whom I've gifted something.

On a personal side note, 'ingratitude' has a better ring to it. Too much 'fool- ness' makes my head spin. Kidding.

I'm always grateful. I was a kid that came from absolutely broke and poor family to a well doing and always have money family (Mom got a very well paying job.) My grandmother taught me to be grateful for whatever I have because I can be gone tomorrow. I always took that to heart. This Christmas, I got things I never thought I would get. I mean money! I'm not returning that! Of course not! LOL

When you got your gifts this holiday, how did you react?
All of my reactions for my gifts was a shocked face. I was just ecstatic. I couldn't say anything.

When you got your gifts this holiday, how did you react?
Nope. I was actually excited to see them. ^.^

Also, if you dislike the gift, are you returning it the next day?
Nope, I mean, can you return jackets, shirts, purses and things? *thinks about it* Ok, stupid question...but no, I'm not returning it.

I bear the same last name of my kin. So, I automatically get a gift from my relatives. I get socks and briefs from them on every special occasions.

If I want a good present, I just buy my own gifts to myself.

I really like to spend Holidays with just my family and not with my relatives.
I really don't like going to a get together and see my relatives brag about their riches all the time.
My aunts live across the street. They are the main hosts of get togethers. So yea. My family and I have no choice but to celebrate over there.

I'm really grateful that they invite us to have a feast with them.

I really do put a lot of effort on putting something on greeting cards.

I just don't put:

To [insert the name of the receiver here],

[Given message that each greeting card has]

From [insert my name]

I honestly draw and write some cool stuffs on greeting cards.

At first, I was kind of grumpy, but then I shrugged it off. Now I'm just grateful for everything that I received.

okay personally if some one whole heatedly gives you a present and you whine about it, you're an asshole. every thing i get im thankful for because i realize that ya no one HAD to get me anything but as for if i was excited not really though ya im grateful i don't tend to get all jumpy and giggly even if i get the best present ever ya i will express my thanks though i realize it may come off as ungrateful because of my lack of reaction. and no i want really happy nor disappointed with what i got because i knew what it was so it wasn't a surprise but also i don't ask others for gifts they ask me if there is anything i want and if i can think of something ill tell them and if i don't get it oh well i would have bought it myself in the end. and the only way i would return something some one bought me is if i already have it because if you say thanks to them and then a year later they see that you didn't even touch it that seems more ungrateful than if you were to return it and get some thing that you will use and then when/if it comes up you tell them the truth and they should understand
