I don't mind either.

Because as of right now, it's socially unacceptable. Let me get back to you in x number of years.

It's because we still live in an sexist world. It's because many women are comfortable in challenging gender norms but not as many men are. Mainly it's because in recent years there has been movements and campaigns for equality and for women to be free to do what men can do. Yet there's no real equality because masculinity and masculine norms have held a higher status in many societies for a long time and challenging them can make people uncomfortable and make some men feel like they are lowering themselves. Feminine traits are still seen as weaknesses in men. Basically it's seen as normal and fashionable for women to dress like men and challenge those gender norms but for men to do it is seen as weird and wrong.
Not all clothes designed for women are tight, short and revealing and yet it's still not seen as acceptable if a man walks down the street in a long, loose fitting dress that covers everything. Men's clothes are refashioned to fit women but women's clothes are always fashioned for women.

I was gonna say something along these lines but you said it for me. It's true though--the culture of our world is still misogynistic. A related example to prove the point--you'll tend to notice that in popular media (although less so nowadays) transsexual/transgender women (women born male) are portrayed in a negative or even dark comical light much more often than transsexual/transgender men (men born female). This ties back into the idea that it is a bad thing for men to "stoop down" to femininity in our society but the opposite is not looked down upon (women taking up masculine things and traits).

Well that question is easy.

If a girl dresses like anything, It is plausible that i would get an erection from her looking at me.

Guy dresses like anything and he looks at me funny, I would get a DERECTION.

see what i did there?

I truly don't know why that is but here is my theroy on that question I guess because Men in theory represent strength and thus allowing women who represent gentleness and or basically weakness to dress up like men to show their true strength and toughness. Now when they see a man dress as a woman than he is looked as stripping down his strength and becoming weaker in the eyes of his fellow men.

This is just my theory that I created it; it is not true in a sense only to me. Feel free to play down or agree just like you this just an opinion not a true fact :3

I guess for the same reason it's more acceptable for two girls to madly make out in general public but the same is frowned upon when it comes to guys. -shrug-

Well not all the time they can get away with it...girls who wear guys clothes are a big turn off I think...feminine girly girls win every day in my book.

I think male clothing is just more androgynous. Female clothes are made for the female figure.

I dress like a dude, but people can dress like anything they want to. No matter what you do in life, there will always be someone out there to hate it. So better to just do what you like, right?
