[Fan Fiction] King of Courrupted Hearts

Amu. Amu. Amu. She was always on his mind, ever since the day when he had left her, departed the country so he could start the search for his father. He often wondered how she was going, if she was coping without him. No doubt she would be, but even if she denied it he knew, he knew that she would be missing him.

No doubt she would, if she had known that he was, no, had been in a coma for the last four months. How he had fallen under one in the first place he couldn’t remember, the memories were still a little sketchy to him. He furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to remember. Hm... it had something to do with some immature teenager trying to rob him of his violin in...where was he now? Australia? The memory was hazy; his head had hit the ground before he could comprehend the events.

Ah well, at least he still had the inherited memento in his possession. But that seemed to be the last thing on his mind.

It had been four months. Four long months of uninterrupted sleep. And now that he had awoken from his comatose state, even though he hadn’t been in this country for long, he was sure it wasn’t supposed to look this dull, this bleak, this deserted. The once-golden sun was nothing more than a mere fossil, lacking any shine and filling the scenery with monochrome tints. The area around him seemed almost empty, except for a few stray people walking down the street that were oblivious to the teenage catboy sitting on the roof. He watched them as they walked past and wondered at their carefree expressions. Either they were blind to the grayscale environment or they were used to it.

But Amu...

“Ikuto! Help! H-He’s gone insane! I-I never thought he would be capable, but-

What had happened while he was out of it in some unknown hospital bed? The phone message he had received upon awakening was dated back at least three months ago, maybe four. And he was sure he had never heard Amu sound so desperate before.

It couldn’t be...could it? Had something happened?

He remembered when he had left her, he knew back then he had made the right decision. But now he wasn’t so sure. If he was there perhaps he could have stopped-?

A gust of wind floated past, causing a page from the latest edition of the newspaper to slam into his face, showing him the answer to the cause of this problem; the reason why Amu sounded so distraught on the phone. He whipped the paper off his face and, after comprehending the familiar person’s smug face staring back at him, he glared at it. But that glare soon melted into a gaze of disbelief as he scanned the headline.

I never thought Tadase would be capable either...

The surreal scenery, Amu’s desperate words to him in her distressed phone call, the contents of this newspaper... it all seemed to point to one thing: Kiddy King had gotten what he wanted, and by that he didn’t mean Amu.

He had gotten his wish.

Ikuto: Oh great, she's back again

MAG: Damn straight! And this time I will commit to this!

Tadase: You said that with "Ghost" and look what happened

MAG: But this time I want to write this! I swear!

Ikuto: I'd hate to think what she has planned for us...

Tadase: Me too...that prologue doesn't look too good by the sounds of it. I mean, "I've gotten my wish?" What's that supposed to mean?

MAG: I figured it was obvious *whistles*

Ikuto: Sounds like she's making you a bad guy in this Tadase...

MAG: Hey! That might not be true...

Ikuto: It sounds obvious enough

MAG: *sighs* Just wait until the next chapter then, geez...
