When I was little I always considered the "F" word to be taboo, that you could go to jail for using it (lol). But now everyone seems to be using it, and the word doesn't really have much of a severe impact anymore. I mean cmon when you see the letters WTF you don't gasp at it, it just became another part of the daily vocab. So what do you guys think? Has it lost the "taboo" effect for you guys too? Or are you so innocent you die a little inside every time someone says it?

hear it all the time. but its a crude word, and honestly shouldn't be used as much as it is. i figure a lot of the time people just have a poor vocabulary, so they default to the 3-4 letter words.

No, but just don't use it out loud when there's a bunch of people inside a train. It happened to me, when I was taking a train and when I was getting ready to get out, they closed the door and I said "F*CK" It was very embarrassing, since there were only business men/women and a couple of old men. Now I tend to use "sh*t" more than "f*uck" n_nU

I used to use that word (until I became a Christian). But, a lot of people use that word because it shows just how angry they are or just to put emphasis on a word. As Spongebob Squarepants said "It's a Sentence Enhancer." How unbelievable I just put that

it's not that the people who use it are idiots or retards, it's just that we hear it so much in everyday life that with so much repitition, we start picking it up. also becos it's so much considered as a norm in society these days, we don't really think twice over it. it's the same with all lingo and words we just pick up or start using somehow, like if you around someone who says "aight" a lot you also start using the word instead of "right". you can also say that with accents.

my vocabulary isn't really all that limited, however i do say it a lot it's just an unconscious habit but as stated before its kind of like an emphasis........though i probably use it for more than that though it depends who i'm with. personally it doesn't bother me unless you use it pretty much every time you talk then it's just annoying

I say fuck a lot when I hurt myself or in need of a swearword. But when the word is directly translated to swedish. Which is where I'm from. I can't say it. I can't bring myself to do so, I never could. People around me doesn't seem as "inhibited" as I though.
