I abuse the word fuck because it's just a word.
I use it on a daily basis to add emphasis to things, so I can say that it honestly doesn't mean much to me, however it does get it's importance recognized as an actual word for insulting people.
I'm a literature nut, I care more about sentence structure than I do a single word.
It's how you use the word that gives it it's taboo effect.
If I were to say, "Well that fucking ridiculous." versus saying "You are just Obstinate."
Which of the the two words sounds more like taboo? Any word that can be used in a negative fashion no matter how logical it's definition or usage can be considered a word that might be insulting or wrong.

I use it when I just screwed something up, get hurt, etc. It is simple a better way of dealing with things than physically doing anything, and it actually does help. (according to studies I've heard, swearing really does reduce pain).

I don't really see the point behind "taboo" words, they aren't going to actually hurt anyone, as long as they aren't being used as insults etc.

It never really had a taboo feeling for me. I swear so much, I don't notice I'm swearing..

When I grew up fuck was commonly used as a replacement for any coordinating conjuncture, so it was never really taboo to met. I try to avoid using it when I can, but sometimes I slip up. I don't usually swear unless i'm really annoyed or going for shock value, and in the case of the latter there are other words I could use that haven't had their effectiveness ended by Cee Lo Green.

i think of it as a respect thing. like dont say FUCK this tastes good at a restaurant because thats disrespectful to other people around you but if you are like with your friends than its okay. dont overuse it otherwise you will look like a douche just trying to be funny

Lol, well I'm not one of the most notable cussers in the world, but I do say fuck occasionally. It can get the message across very effectively. Sometimes people need to hear harsh words in order for them to wake up. As for the actual meaning of the word and why it's considered somewhat taboo, like John Lennon said, we have to hide to make love while violence is practiced in broad daylight. Definitely some things to think about.

Gotta save the stronger words for when they are really appropriate. I say "damn" all the time. I say "shit" occasionally. I say "fuck" very rarely. I don't ever really use "bitch" or "cunt". Because I'm a fuckin' gentleman.

This exactly, except the gentleman part.

Also depends alot on the people I'm with. With friends I use it occasionally, when it fits perfectly with my sentences. I completely refrain from using it if I'm on a date.

There's just a way about how a woman says fuck and it rolls deliciously from her lips, that I love.

I used to stay those words multiple times a day and then I spent a few days trying and it was took more effort than I ever realized. There are so many other words to use and expanding my vocabulary is a permanent goal now.
