I wouldn't say I'm innocent, but I don't like that word. I have children and I don't want them talking like that, but my husband uses that word casually in conversation. I have to remind him that it's a word that shouldn't be used around the home, especially with the children around....he's working on it.

Swearing nonstop is extremely trashy but fuck is one of the few words I use regularly.

Cunt, fag, etc. are really awful and shouldn't be used ever.

Oh and there's no way I'll be able to stop using shit as an expletive.

Swearing is considered a lower class, uneducated, manner of speech. Something a 5 year old does.

Kind of like asking why Will Smith doesn't swear in his albums. It takes more to think than it does to swear.

i havent seen it get that bad for 5 year olds but i can say that kids in jr high swear every 5 minutes.. Once on a bus i ask them why they keep swearing cause they were really loud and was definitely bothering the other passengers and one of them freaking replied "because its fucking cool" but they all got quiet when i told them to stfu with backup from a tougher looking adult

Sometimes, swearing is the most direct and effective way to get something on your mind into words. I don't think it's that bad, but if swearing is all you do, it shows that you're incapable of putting your thoughts into more coherent words. THAT is bad. Swearing, in and of itself, is not innately bad.

To American, the F word is a universal word that works with everything. In some case it is not consider swearing, but an adjective that describe something that too much or too little. You can put the F word in any sentence and still make sense.

Ex.
That was fking awesome.
Yea, we went to that fking store.
Aw fking great.
The water fking cold.
That girl is fking hot.

You can take the 'fking' word out and still sound right. The only reason it not consider good to say it because you are in a professional position in which they tend to discourage it.

Yeah, like censorship is stupid. The only reason the word is considered "taboo" somewhat is because people don't like the way the word sounds. Humans make up language, so this shouldn't be such a big deal!
