hmmm......if they got away for about a year. i think id calm down somewhat and not kill them......unless them continue killing people. then i'll turn them in, and try and get permission to beat them up slowly and drive them crazy.

Umm I'd shove them in jail and if they're ever released I'd kill them in a way untraceable to me, but as painfully as possible.

I wish I could take revenge on people that do annoying stuff to me but I don't find it as a solution. In the end, I win for some reason >.<

revenge is stupid. Is it going to bring your friend/partner back from the dead?

People do stupid things all the time. In tragedy, one might walk very close to the line of insanity - in which case , anything is possible, and stupid things are probable.

Concerning the murderer - I think every person deserves a chance for change.

Imagine a person who committed a murder 20 years ago, but had so much personal growth and change, he is now a doctor savings lives, or an engineer building bridges, or a schoolteacher. How many people's lives has he affected positively now?

You're so wise never thought about it.

Well, for me, just seeing that person in jail for several years is enough

Although it wasn't a romantic relationship, my best friend was murdered 9 years ago by her brother. I spent years obsessing over revenge.

However, her parents displayed an incredible example. They found a way to forgive and love the son who brutally took away their daughter.

About 5 years after it happened, my heart started to change and soften. Taking revenge seemed so trivial and selfish. After all, his parents still love him...how could I put them through more pain? He is set to be released from jail in two years...it will be interesting to see how I feel about him then. But I can say that time and forgiveness truly does heal all wounds.

Because I have already been through a tragic situation, I can say that, hypothetically, even if the love of my life were to be taken from me, I would find a way to overcome without resorting to violence and hatred. How does the phrase go? "Bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die..."

Love never fails.

No. That's stupid. I'd let the cops find him/her and then politely ask the cops if I can beat him/her to a pulp after the trial is over.
They usually allow it. And yes, I'm being serious.

I for one don't believe in the sayings 'time can heal all wounds' and 'forgive and forget'. If someone killed my partner, I'd want nothing less than to cripple that person (inability to walk, etc), one way or another . Not death, that's too easy.
