twenty-ten would be slang
two thousand ten would be numerally correct
not knowing and not caring I would think is pitiful
2 oh one oh? it' a number so it would be zero not oh
Personally I use twenty ten in conversation.

Why is twenty-ten slang?
Aren't years usually pronounced that way, for example 1984 is nineteen-eighty four, not one thousand nine hundred and eighty four.

Hello MCMXCI
nineteen-eighty four again is slang because it shortened. It would be the year one thousand nine hundred eighty four in the twentieth century.
But in old English they would say four in eighty for 84.So in a way it's a throw back to old English. In Old English it would be said nineteen hundred and eighty four.So it is a shortened version of Old English there for me thinks slang,
