The other day I was taking a look at the calendar when I noticed that this year's Chinese New Year was on the same day as Valentine's Day~ So this made me wonder.. for those who celebrate Chinese New Year.. which day would they celebrate and with who?
for me.. i would choose to spend feb 14th with my friends or that special someone.. mostly because my family has a lot of arguments everyday and when you put everyone in the family together.. arguments are guaranteed to happen.. ... sorry if this topic is already up there in the forums.. i didn't check before posting today..><

Personally, special person > family. You are more likely to see the family more often anyways, and yes mine tend to get into some argument, especially on whoever pays the bill or whatnot . Thanks for pointing out that Chinese New Years (Lunar Calendar New Year) is on Valentines Day, lols.
You still have a month to decide for yourself =P

My special person is too far away to actually be with that day.
But i'm sure we'll communicate and do something for each other.
I think that I'll be at those New Years Celebration Festivals volunteering
and hanging out w/ family and friends.

Haha, I don't have a special person to spend it with anyway... but I would always choose Chinese New Years!!!
Its my favorite holiday because it's the only one that my family really celebrates! All the other ones just pass by like normal days...
Anyway, I get to eat lots of good food and get lots of money!!!

I don't celebrate Chinese New Year, so I'll be having fun on V-day instead.

You should start then!

I'll even ship you off to China. Or do you prefer North Korea?

Hmm, I suppose with my family. It's Sunday anyway, people are resting more or less.

eh I don't really celebrate Chinese New Years. We just do the red envelope thingie. Oh I love that dried coconut sugar thing that my mom buys around that time. But for Vday, I like to make cookies or something for friends. Probably gonna spend the day with family though
