Possibly my favorite anime ever, and at least in the top three. I already have it on DVD from Nozomi, but I'd really love for them to release it on BD too; the animation is so beautiful and atmospheric.

I'm sad. The art was so nice and now it's moe blobbed. I mean nothing against it but the other was much better.

Mel Kishida's artwork is just as moe.

The comments by younger viewers about it being too boring is further proof that this title belongs in the "Seinen" category. It is a slow paced, slice-of-life story, but there is never an episode where the overarching plot is not advanced in some way, no matter how silly and frivolous the episode may seem. It has honest to goodness character development and the art and music are to die for!

I have noticed recently that most of the shows that I really love probably put me firmly into the "scenery porn addict" category. So Ra No Wo To, Hanasaku Iroha, Gosick, Spice and Wolf... they all have such gorgeous art!

I absolutely adore Sora no Woto. I bought Beez's DVD and love it upscaled on my blu-ray player.

It definitely ranks as one of my favourite series' of all time. I'd disagree with those saying it had a slow pace; the pace was calm, and the fact that as the series progressed, we got to see the darker side of the platoon's lives...and that last Amazing Grace scene...beautiful.

Sora no Wota has the same feeling that Yokohama Kadashi Kikkou (YKK) had, a slice of life anime set on a planet in the twilight of its existence. Sorta sad but peaceful and happy at the same time.

YKK being one of my most favourites, SnW gave me the same warm fuzzies.

Zensunni "scenery porn addict"

OMG, that describes me to a T. LOL I fall for games that have "scenery porn" in them... I still have a slight "thing" for Aion. The game itself sucks to high heaven, but the scenery in the game defies adjectival description.

I am a professional photographer (on the side) so I can use that as an excuse... right? LOL!

Thanks for the YKK comment. Another show to check out!
