on really clear winter nights i can see it pretty goodt, its easy if you live in the middle of nowhere, literally!!

The northern lights are a different view. Northern/Southern lights = solar particles bouncing off our atmosphere where they're ionized, makes the solar particles glow, by the magnetic poles of our planet. I'll get to go see those in person one day soon. Probably will make an effort to go see them when I take a trip to Alaska. Maybe sometime next year I'll plan a trip there.

And in answer to the topic; I have never seen the milky way. But the candy tastes good... wait.
My tastes have changed over the past 10 years. I used to love them...
I saw the northern lights though. Sometimes being closer to Norway than mainland Europe has its advantages. ^^

im always fascinated with astronomy. id love to see a lot of things and not just the milky way and to answer you Q, well not in real life but yes in pictures.

we technically are in the milkyway galaxy.
currently floating like a fairy somewhere in it's outer rims.
