Blood dripped from her claws as she curled her fingers into a fist. That was the thing about the Mafia, one second your walking home from college and the next some idiots fling you into an alley trying to slice your head off. Talk about unpredictable. Ha. Sadly for them, Hye Na knew full well that anyone will attack you at anytime. But that percentage had dropped dramatically after the alliance had been formed. So, this attack could only mean three things.

One; Someone is breaking the contract.

Two; Some low life criminals need a kill,

or Three; The Dragon's were on a hunt.

"Well this is just ..Shit.." She finally said after deciding that it was the third option.

The Lady Boss

Coffee walked through the streets, ignoring the dirty looks the neighbors were shooting her. She was chewing on her chocolate cigarette, trying not to break down. She hated this neighborhood, and they hated her. This was the "good" part of the city, where a Mafia boss certainly did not belong.

Suddenly, a beat up red sedan swerved dangerously on the street, as it drove straight towards her. The neighbors immediately fled into their houses, afraid of a brawl. Coffee just stood still, arms crossed. Just as it seemed like the car was going to crash straight into her, the sedan came to a screeching halt. The Boss Lady just stared at the red car.

The window slowly rolled down, and out came someone's head.

"Boss Lady!" a guy called.

"What the hell, Smokey! Were you trying to kill me?" she responded flatly.

Smokey smiled a crooked grin, "Maybe."

"Any sign of Hye Na?" she asked, her voice cool. In the inside, she was squirming.

"Yeah... About that..." Smokey said, trailing off.

Coffee froze. She knew what was going on. She immediately jumped into the driver's seat, shoving Smokey to the passenger side.

"Fuck, do the Dragon's have something against Koreans? What the hell," she fumed.

Smokey snickered, "Boss, I doubt it has anything to do with us being Korean."

"Shut up, Sung Joon," Coffee glared.

Smokey quickly shut up at the mention of his real name.

After a few minutes of reckless silent driving, they saw Hye Na.

As much as Bennett wanted to slice the kid into small, cheese grader size pieces, she knew that if she did her father would kill her. Literally. Benji was a good kid, sure, but he stole her spot as boss.

"Benny," that was her nickname, "I want to get ice-cream." He tugged on her arm and pointed to the shop across the street.

"No."

"Why not?" He cried. His feet stopped and Bennett looked back at him.

"Cause I've got to get you home on time."

"Pleease." He put his hands together like a beggar.

"Jesus Benji," she grabbed his wrist and pulled him across the street toward the ice-cream shop, "I'll get you your damn ice-cream." She could feel the smile on his face.

The shop was small, only two people were in it. A kid with bleached blond hair and one to many piercings in his ear, and then there was the person behind the counter. "I'll take a chocolate and a vanilla, smalls." Chocolate for Benji, vanilla for Bennett. Benji climbed onto one of the high set chairs and sat down. Bennett sat across from him and waited for the ice-cream to be ready.

If this was a Dragon attack then she needed to get serious. The bag that was coolly slung over her shoulder was first to go. Her enemy on the other hand, looked like he was warming up. Hye Na coughed loudly bringing his attention back to her. Even with his attention on her, she felt that he didn't think she was strong enough to fight against. The bored looking eyes, the constant yawning and fake warming up were really getting on Hye Na's nerves.

"What is your problem..?" She finally snapped.

"Nothing." He answered rolling up his sleeve, "I'm just thinking of a way to kill you."

"Ha, Like that is going to happen." She retorted only stopping when the dragon tattoo on his wrist caught her eyes. Definitely a Dragon attack then, she thought to herself as she clenched her hands into fists. They both leaped forward at the same time, both aiming for vital points. Hye Na caught his dagger in her left claw but that didn't stop him. Her eyes met his lazy aqua-blue ones. Instantly her body felt limp. An urge to fall asleep struck her hard.

The Lady Boss

Coffee and Smokey stayed in the car, watching. They had switched seats, and Smokey was back with the wheel.

"Aren't you going out?" Smokey said.

"Hye Na's capable of taking care of herself," Coffee answered, with an almost bored tone.

As usual, Coffee was freaking out in the inside. She had a strong urge to go out there and shoot that Dragon like mad. But she believed Hye Na could take care of things. Hopefully...

They observed the two, when things started going bad.

"That fucker!" Coffee hissed.

Smokey jumped, "What? What he do?"

"He's using his power! His fucking power!" Coffee shrieked.

That's it. She was done watching. She grabbed her gun, and stuck her arm out of the window.

Smokey charged at the two with the sedan, while Coffee tried to find an opening. She was a good shot, but she didn't want to risk shooting Hye Na. The Dragon must have realized what was going on, because he tried to move. But it was too late.

The Boss Lady had found an opening.

BANG!

The Dragon went down.

"You really don't trust Hye Na, do you?" Smokey sighed.

"What was I suppose to do? I just snapped and panicked at the same time!" Coffee said, almost wailing.

"Yes, yes, Boss Lady. Whatever you say," he replied.

Suddenly, a rain of gunfire fell upon them.

"Great, they brought a whole army!" Smokey shouted.

"Hye Na, get in the fucking car!" Coffee screamed.

They needed to leave. Fast.

"Hye Na, get in the fucking car!" Coffee screamed.

With the Dragon dead, Hye Na was released from his power. Using the small window of opportunity she had (before the gunfire), Hye Na snatched up her bag and slid into the back seat.

"Smokey, I think your going to need a new baby.."

The bullets rained on the sedan, shattering the windows. Hye Na rubbed her forehead. It was bleeding. The Dragon had managed to cut her then. She didn't expect the dragon to have that much power. It was her own fault for undermining him. But now wasn't the time to scold herself, it was the time to put her powers to good use. Telekinesis was handy in these situations. A small flick of the wrist was enough to direct most of the bullets back to where they came from.

"Coffee, this enemy isn't like the others.." She muttered as Smokey went all Grand Theft Auto on them.

This was the second Dragon hunt since the alliance was formed, which had only been what, around a week. Now that the families had come together, Dragon attacks were expected to be more frequent.

A parade of gun fire sounded in the distance, Bennett turned around so she was looking out the shop window. She had a faint idea on what it must be. Benji just licked up his ice-cream like a dog, not paying any attention to the noises going on outside. She turned back around and took the last bit of her ice-cream. “Come on Benji, let’s go.”

“I’m not done with my ice-cream though.”

Bennett took the half eaten ice-cream cone from his small hands and dumped into the garbage can, “You are now.” She grabbed her bag from the table and pushed the door open. Benji shuffled out, his shoulders slumped. Benji knew to follow Bennett’s orders; he just had trouble not questioning them. When they were out on the side walk she looked around. The streets were empty, no cars, no people, no nothing.

“Damn,” she shook her head and went left. The shop's bell rung again and the piercing boy had left now. She twisted her head to get a good look at him. He seemed vaguely familiar, though she could say certainly she had never seen him around. She had an amazing memory so it was strange she could not simply place the face with a name. She ignored the familiarity feelings and continued on toward her house. She cursed under her breath slightly when she noticed that the gun shots only grew louder as they drew closer to home. They had to turn around. Great. Where were they expected to stay? Sure, their family had connections, plenty, but so many of them were over sea. She kept calm though and continued forward, thinking.

“What is that sound?” Benji asked.

“Called a gun, you’ll be handy with one when you’re older.”

Benji nodded. He had yet to be exposed to his father’s world. Soon though, very soon, it would be time for him to learn.

The Lady Boss

"Smokey, I think your going to need a new baby.."

Smokey let out a wail. He loved this car. This car was his life. He was starting to cry.

"Get a grip!" Coffee said, providing him with a nice slap.

Smokey nodded and sniffed.

"Coffee, this enemy isn't like the others.." She muttered as Smokey went all Grand Theft Auto on them.

"Meaning...? They're Dragons after all- fuck! Smokey! Watch it! A DOG! DON'T RUN OVER THE DOG!" Coffee shrieked.

Smokey wildly swerved around the dog, barely missing it.

"Sung Joon... You... Youu... YOUUU!" Coffee screamed. She then proceeded to curse him out in Korean.

There were three things the Lady Boss loved the most in this world. Her family, coffee, and dogs.

While Coffee acted like a maniac, Smokey kept on driving. Soon, the gunfire came to an end. By then, Coffee had regained her chill. Still, she gave Smokey one good kick. Smokey winced, and took the two home.

Hye Na chuckled, "Bad Sung Joon.." She shook her head, tongue in cheek. Smokey glared over at Hye Na who just grinned.

"Eyes on the road, boy.." She said patting his shoulder. Annoying Smokey was another way for her to waste her time. She got on well with him too, mostly because he helped her with her school work and trained with her without complaining.

*

"You will help me fix this car.." Smokey callled as she left the car dragging her bag with her. Hye Na held up her bag, "I have work.." She groaned but Smokey found this funny.

"Your car is beyond repair!" She snapped wiping the smile off Smokey's face. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she headed for the front door.

"Coffee, You coming..?"

The Lady Boss

"Your car is beyond repair!"

"Ouch," Coffee said.

Smokey began to sniffle, and Coffee rolled her eyes.

"Coffee, You coming..?"

"Hold on..." she called, "I found something."

Some fabric, that was very pink, flashy, and sparkly was peeking out from under her seat. Coffee immediately grabbed it, and lifted it up so she could see. Her eyes widened, and her mouth dropped open, chocolate cigarette falling out.
It was a pink panty.

"What. The. Fuck?" Coffee said, before bursting into laughter.

"Oh god, Sung Joon! Do you cross dress?! Maybe an underwear thief? Wait, could you possibly... possibly... have a girlfriend?!" she howled, clutching her stomach with one hand, the panty in the other.

Smokey turned an unbelievable shade of red before snatching it away from Coffee.

"I-I-It's mine..." he stammered.

Coffee immediately stopped laughing.

"Oh my god, Sung Joon. I didn't know you were like that." she said, with a horrified face.

"No, wait! I didn't mean it that way!" he said, turning even redder.

Coffee just stared blankly at him, before getting out of the car. She took Hye Na's arm, and dragged her into the house, saying really loudly, "Let's get away from this creep."

Once they were safely inside, Coffee broke out in laughter again.

"Let's get away from this creep."

Hye Na couldn't help but burst into laughter. The look on Smokey's face was priceless.

"Damn, I didn't have my camera with me.." She said in between laughs. "I haven't seen his face that red since I walked in on him showering..!" She spluttered, dropping her bag onto the cold marble floor. The Tae Family's house was traditonal but modern at the same time. Every Boss changed it to their liking so there was a lot of history at the house.

"That was a little uncalled for though, Coffee.." She said leading the way to the kitchen. "Smokey won't show his face for months.." She laughed again remembering his bright red face. She grabbed two cups from the counter, setting them on the table.

"Is there a meeting or something...?" She asked. There were more mafia members at the house then normal. That usually meant something big was happening. Hye Na poured the coffee into the two cups and pushed out towards the Boss.

The gun shots slowly died down by the time Benji and Bennett reached the house. It was a relief. Though deep inside she was hoping Benji might get hit by a stray bullet. Or maybe a speeding car.

Bennett pushed through the front door. Benji's backpack slid from his shoulders and dropped to the marble floor. "Pick it up and go do your homework." Bennett commanded. It was her job to take care of Benji. Sure, they could hire a nanny, but for some reason her father but him under her care. Benji's mom had died during child birth. Not that she minded much, the slut had been with her father while her mom was still alive.

Benji picked the bag up by the straps and trudged up the stairs. They looked nothing alike. His hair was a blond and his eyes were green. The spiting image of his mom. Not even their skin color was the same. It was possible that they had the same nose shape, but his seemed more pointed than her own. They reached Benji's room and she pushed him in, "Get your work done and then I'll look it over." Benji was in middle school. With his amazing memory he learned things fast. He already knew five different languages- Bennett was learning her 17th language- and never had troubles in school. And he was only five.

She headed toward her room once she was sure Benji had started his homework. Her room was simple. No posters on the wall, her desk just had a cup with pencils in it. Nothing to show she had any actual interest. And she really didn't have any. She didn't see the point.

She laid down on her bed, hands behind her head, staring up at the ceiling. She didn't have anything to do. No one to kill or threaten, no friends to call, and certainly no books to read. All that was left was to check Benji's damn homework.

The Boss Lady

"That was a little uncalled for though, Coffee.." She said leading the way to the kitchen. "Smokey won't show his face for months.."

"He'll come around eventually. You know how much he loves us," Coffee said, yawning. She was getting tired.

"Is there a meeting or something...?" She asked.

"Hmm... Dunno. Oh thanks," Coffee replied, taking a cup. She reached into her pocket, and pulled out a box of sugar cubes. She practically emptied the whole thing into her coffee. She liked her coffee sweet. Very sweet. She finished the whole thing in a few chugs.

Suddenly, a loud crash and lots of shouting erupted in the living room. Coffee immediately headed towards the racket.

"I WON'T ACCEPT THIS!" a man yelled. He was Coffee's distant cousin, Ji Hoon.

"Ji Hoon, there's nothing you can do. It's a done deal." a woman said calmly. She was a non-blood related family member, Yoo Hee.

"What's going on?" Coffee said, shooting both people threatening glances.

"THE ALLIANCE. I WON'T ACCEPT THE ALLIANCE!" Ji Hoon screamed. He grabbed a decorative plate, and smashed it against the wall.

"Everybody, get out. I'll talk to him," Coffee said.

Ji Hoon frantically glanced around. "Don't listen to her! She's just 18! Why are you all leaving?! Stop!"

Everyone ignored him and filed out. Coffee sighed. There were still some people in her family that opposed of her being boss. Ji Hoon was one of them.

Ji Hoon let out a frustrated scream, and broke another plate.

"Stop it, Ji Hoon," Coffee growled.

"YOU SHUT UP! YOU STUPID GIRL! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" he roared.

Coffee decided that talking wouldn't do anything. So instead, she took out her gun. Ji Hoon's eyes widened, but a creepy smile broke out onto his face.

"What? Are you going to kill me? Go ahead! Do it!" Ji Hoon said, laughing maniacally.

Coffee smirked, and said, "As you wish."

Ji Hoon now looked very frightened, and a unhuman scream escaped his lips as Coffee pressed the trigger.

She fired a total of 20 shots. But of course, Ji Hoon was still alive. She had missed on purpose, and traced his silhouette with the bullets, leaving a human shape on the wall behind him.

She walked towards him, and grabbed his throat, giving it a tight squeeze.

"Listen up, pretty boy. I'M BOSS. I don't give a fuck whether you accept the alliance or not. Mist Haven is my home, and I want to keep it that way. You don't like me? You don't like the alliance? Then get the fuck out. You're a disgrace to the Tae's, Tae Ji Hoon. A true Tae would accept the alliance, and do everything they can to protect their beloved family. YOU. YOU, are just a pain in the ass. Piss off," Coffee snarled.

And with that, she let him go and left the room.

Meanwhile, with Demetris...

Demetris looked out the window of his car, plans and ideas going through his head. He shifted a little, focusing on the driver up front. "Aria, would you mind telling me how far away we are from the Tae residence, please?"

"Only a few more minutes, Demetris. We'll be there soon." She replied, eyes not leaving the road the whole time.

"Thank you, Aria." He then turned back to the car window, looking out the car window and think about the future meeting and wondering if Coffee actually remembered it this time. No offense to her, but she can be quite forgetful when it comes to interactions with the other families, even us. Though, if we ever have to fake something like that with another family, that could definitely be used to our advantage.

Unlike some of the other families, he preferred to be subtle with the force that he used. So, instead of bringing along a lot of his family members to gatherings like this, he brought only a few. In this case, it was himself and Aria. Simone said she was busy and may or may not be coming. So, for now, it was just the two of them.

As they finally got to the Tae Residence, Demitris noticed one of them (Sung Joon, if I remember his name correctly, he thought,) crying over a horribly battered-up car. Sympathetic for the guy, he asked Aria to go see if she can help him while he went into the house. She agreed, and it was only after he closed his door to the car that he realized he smelled something that was familiar to him coming from the Tae house: gunsmoke..

After not hearing the sounds of any kind of scuffle coming from inside (except maybe a bit of yelling on Coffee's part), he decided the best thing to do was to act normal, and stepped up to the front of the house, knocking on the door. When it was opened for him, he smiled, bowed respectfully in a typical Asian manner, and said, "Hello. Is Coffee busy presently? I am here for the meeting."
