Cup of Tea?
Posted 1/11/10
I liiiike leaving the tea bag in for a long time and then squeezing the life out of it, then adding a ridiculously specific amount of milk (1 1/2 teaspoons measured accuratley) and 1/2 teaspoon of sugar exactly. People who add milk BEFORE the water are insane LOL! The milk cools the water not the water warms the milk!

Green tea is also nice. Super super super good for you too.

How do you make your tea? and what flavours do you enjoy?

COFFEE!!!!!!!! Tea is for women and brits!! Lol but honestly, I used to drink it occasionally as a kid. Nowadays though its only coffee which apparently works like steroids but as I've told people before, if I'm lucky it might let me wear jeans without being strangled. (If you don't get the joke too bad for you!!)

I get a big cup, add the teabag (often green tea) and pour warm water in.

Let it be for a minute or so, squeeze the bag empty of excess liquid and getting the most out of it. Throw the bag away, add 2-3 tea spoons of sugar and stir.

Done.

Maybe add a bit lemon.

Here's a guide by George Orwell, on how to make proper tea.

I'll quote the text and put it in a spoiler, if anyone feels like reading it:

I use honey instead of sugar in my green tea. I usually add a lemon as well.

I'm more of a coffee person, really. I like organic chai tea from Tazo, though.

I drink whatever my dad gives me, as long as it isn't green tea.

Being British and all, I love me some tea. ;D
From what I can remember, you should add your water, then your sugar before the milk. The sugar will melt quicker being in the plain boiling water. Adding the milk after to make sure the milk isn't spoilt, like it can be if you add it first.
How sad I know this. :|
