I can see how those who saw that they were #__ to retweet only to find out it wasn't the case can be upset. I don't know how Twitter logs it or function, so I won't go there. I think coming out of it though - if CR ever decides to do a contest like this in the future, perhaps the best course is to make it anonymous. By that I mean don't make specifics like "first 5 ppl" but say... "first 100" will be eligible for a random draw. Could work that way.

i prefer the simple drawing contests for stuff like this. These competitive ones are to difficult; particularly because some participants excessivly spend every waking moment challenging each other. Like the Sora no Otoshimono contest (which never received an 'official' announcement of winners) was ridiculously difficult thanks to top contestants.

Wow.... i cant believe some people comment so recklessly without first doing some research cause thats generally how you put your own foot in your mouth (or for those who dont know that phrase, it's how you make a fool of yourself by saying something stupid) in this case blaming someone for something that is hardly their fault.

The dispute, if you bothered to read the winners post, seems to be due to a problem with the winner selection process. As i understand it, it seems that cruncyroll used twitter and something didnt work out as planned and one or 2 individuals won where they may not have supposed to and one or 2 individuals lost when they perhaps should have won.

Yes, i agree disputing it may seem a tad over the top but if you found out you entered a contest and lost, although by the rules you should have won, you'd be rather disappointed too. So give them a break its bad enough to lose, its worse to find out the contest may have botched and given the prize to someone else when it should have been you. In the end the contest's committee has the final say, but everyone makes mistakes, best to point out mistakes if you think there's been one cause who knows you might be right XD.

To be honest i feel cruchyroll made this post rather haphazardly, as they have largely blamed the users here, when to be honest it seems more like a mess up on their part or twitters either way, be careful who you point fingers at, especially if it's unnescessary or at your supporters XD.

Lastly i would like to thank crunchyroll for all the contests they hold as i have enjoyed participating in some and enjoyed hearing of others and how you really made people's day/week/month etc exceptional with some of your truly brilliant prizes.

Keep on rockin' and crunchy rollin' people XD

Agreed. This post makes it seem like the users' faults, when really it's a matter of Crunchyroll not quite getting things right with Twitter (which can be horrid when getting timing right, one time I tweeting something and then a few minutes later it was saying I had posted it a few HOURS prior), and I really don't think that's fair in the least.

I second this post. And if people didn't see, the contestants forgave each other. Don't judge so easily.

Oh and yes I did quietly watch their dispute. I am a ninja... Or a stalker.

Was it not a random drawing after people entered the contest? ReTweet for a chance to win? How did it get disputed if it was a random drawing?

I never really thought her songs were good enough to have people strangle one another for. Well, as long as those people don't demand her to sing in Japanese, then that's fine with me.

You pretty much said what I wanted to say.
I feel real sorry for the people involved. I would have been psyched if I found out I won a ticket and then CRUSHED after finding my name to be not up there. A big slap in the face. Hope things work out to those involved. :/
