Filipino dramas have all similarities... same plot as always... or if there is something new in it... it is copied from other international dramas... only the artists are changing...
but anyways... i prefer Toni Gonzaga with Sam Milby... They are the new love team in "Maging sino ka man" book 2! haha! and i'm watching it! =) and for the movie... i love "You are the one" still with Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga... so sweet! |

any one want to watch really good dramas/ movies? i'd recommend japanese dramas, hana yori dango....as for movies, taiyou no uta (oh YUI!) .....well the first few filipino dramas i watched are good but as time progresses they lost their flavor because of repetitive plots and THEMES....i also don't like that they over complicate stuff like "oh your heart can't love two people at once"....those kinds of lines do exist and my problem with it is that it is a bit unrealistic (in addition to the killing, and car crashes)......well if i have to choose then it's probably going to be PATAYIN SA SINDAK SI BARBARA because it has a different plot....it is not scary.....LA VENDETTA started to become corny when they started showing more ghosts....i thought it deviated a bi from the main plot |

Hmm im not into it because the rival local networks keeps copying each others ideas
just like when GMA (channel 7 ) made a horror series La Vendetta ABS CBN (channel 2) made Patayin sa sindak si barbara (kill barbara with intimidation) XD which is kinda annoying and also actors never change they always depend on the popularity of of the actors and the love teams which is a hit to the filipinos the networks ignores that theres a possibility that there are someone out there that have talent even though they dont have the looks of hearthrobs and they are only in the same storyline just like the past dramas i dont get excited and i dont get hooked the only thing that caught my attention was rounin because of the special effects |

Marimar isn't actually from the Philippines. It's simply the remake of the original, but it does have its perks... I know! It's originally from Mexico right? Yay! I was right! |

I liked "Bituin" which starred Desiree del Valle and Carol Banawa, especially since it wasn't prolonged like other successful dramas. It's about two sisters. One grew up thinking someone else was her mother, and she stole the other's voice. They end up having a showdown, which became a real live concert.
"Maging Sino Ka Man" is also good, although I think they ran through all possible plotlines, and it's not even over yet. I also liked "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay" starring John Lloyd and Bea as well as Rica Paralejo, Lorna Tolentino, Bing Loyzaga, Edu Manzano, etc. The Russian-sounding names still make me laugh, a reaction to GMA's use of Spanish-sounding names in their corresponding show. Some people say "Mulawin" was good, although I didn't catch it. I'm obviously not a GMA fan. My personal favorite is "Spirits" which starred Maja Salvador and other newcomers or child actors. Didn't like the ending, but the world was interesting. As for movies, "Bayaning Third World" is the best. Please upload! |
