Jak, that's not an evolution you just described, that's a fucking "de-evolution" right there. Even party hip hop music back in the day didn't sound like the retarded non-sense we're hearing right now

I have to agree with you there! I've heard some of his new album and I believe Nas is conforming.........lyrically and musically well musically it a hell of alot better cuz Nas had some shitty beats back in the day!

What do you mean back in the day? As in "Hip Hop is Dead" days, or the days before Nas released "Street's Disciple"?!

Nas needs to work with DJ Premier again...........then he'd be dropping classic albums out of his ass again like he always did

Hip Hop is dead wasnt that good... i never heard Streets Disiple, but i liked the singles from that album... Theifs Theme.. the song he did w/ his dad... ummm anymore ... ??

But all in all.... so were not just discussing Nas' career, 1 person cant bring back hip hop

there gotta be more good artists out than bullshit rappers for hip hop to go back to somewhat how it wus.... honestly i think it will return to a level of that of the glory days...

most things run full circle

b-boying is coming back around... and the wack ass ATL dances are fizzing out... i just hope its not TX turn for bullshit dance songs.... if so i blame Dallas.... H-town aint havin that

Noneone, as simple as that ...

There will always be some good stuff out though, but it won't be like in the 90's.

Things change and Hip Hop will emerge one day into another genre. Just like things like Rock extended itself over all the years ... You know, everything is always evolving if in a good or bad direction doesn't matter. A lot of music styles changed and quite a lot of them are lost these days.
