I saw on the wall that FXAW was wanting to create a guide for the Cosplay Watergun Shooting game, but wasn't able to create a topic for it. So, I created this topic. Have at it! ^_^

The watergun game is the newest major addition to Ai [email protected] that includes a storyline, quests and voiced characters so for those who can't read but have honed their skill of listening Japanese through anime and what not you should be able to enjoy the story. If you think there is anything extra i can add or improve while i'm making this feel free to say so.

Will be doing this on Ai [email protected] wiki now since the layout is better but will keep what i have here and only update on the wiki
http://aispace.wikia.com/wiki/Water_Gun_Missions

Contents
1. Getting started
2. Story
3. NPC
4. Controls
5. Interface
6. Stats
7. Cosplay
8. Skills
9. Missions
10. Quests
11. Enemies
12. Items

1. Getting Started
To even start playing watergun you will first have to start the story which will allow you to get to the watergun lobby (sakasama さかさま対策課) although you can get there by asking a npc to take you there you still won't be able to play since you don't have a weapon to fight with.

By going to your room it'll trigger an event to start the story which if you understand what they're saying you'll get the general gist of whats going on. After this you can head to Sakasama which is at Akihabara -> Sotokanda building and up the stairs.

2. Story
I won't go much into the story, i'll leave the fun of enjoying whats going on to you, the choices that come up doesn't effect the gameplay it's more just a selection of replies that leads to the same outcome in the end. More of the story can be unlocked by leveling up and playing missions.

You can tell if there is a triggered event avilable since you'll get a message telling you to go somewhere, normally being your room and a few cases the shopping district. In the images below you can see some purple text something like that will pop up if you can trigger an event and it'll say in your quest list too, in the case of the image it is telling me to go to my room.

I won't go any further into the story but if anyone really wants to translate the whole thing then feel free to and pm me and i shall place it here as a spoiler.

3. NPC

One of the sotokanda jewels Rin, you'll see her alot during the first part of the story outside of the story you'll fnd her at Akihabara at the station, you can play paper/rock/scissors with her or she'll introduce you to the hunting baito.

Another one of the jewels Hotaru, appears a few times in the middle of the story and can be found just outside the Sotokanda building in Akihabara where you can redeem a free spin coupon for the NP aipon by trading in 3 NP aipon items.

The final jewel Shinju, you'll see her towards the end of the story, found in the Sotokanda building where you can pick your home will be when you first start.

Here you can find out how many quest points you currently have and use those point to exchange for items, the board will tell you what items you can get.

You can ask the little chicken in the middle to make you a little statue either bronze which gives a single stat or silver that gives two stats using certain items gained through playing missions. The guy on the right will refine these statues to make them better, the board will tell you what items you need to make what type and what materials to refine them.

The two on the left will give you quests and also where you go to hand in completed ones, there are several of them around ai space, you have to go to a different one depending on your level. The guy on the right will teleport you to places for 100D you are restricted to choosing places on your island or Akihabara.

On the left you can join other peoples partys, the middle will allow you to create your own party and the right you can do missions when your by yourself.
Most right button in hosting window is to start the game (or Ready up when you joined a party), middle is to change missions without closing the window and most left is to close the window aka stop hosting.

On the left you can rent sets for cosplay these are affordable and last 30mins. The middle contains the rentals for the costume rental for the main character of each island, these are expensive with full sets costing over 70k D but lasts for 5days when bought with D or 6hours if bought with NP. The last one on the right contains all the same sets on the left plus an extra one but permanent and all cost NP.

The guy on the right gives a chain of missions, when you complete them all you get a reward normally D or some items and sometimes you will unlock events in your room. The guy on the left is the teleporter again.

4. Controls
There are two sets of controls available one which is controlled more of less all by the mouse or the other which you would probably find easier is the wasd. I won't really go into the controls for mouse movement type since i doubt anyone would use it and truth be told i don't really know myself

EDIT: Controls by oNatsuo and partially edited by zealtron

Beginner Mode Buttons:

To Walk press around with mouse OR use the arrow keys (not wasd)
To Fire you must select a monster first with your mouse OR click down the scroll on your mouse
Right mouse click - Move Camera AND shoot
Shift OR Double left click - Dash forward
Space - Shoot when locked on
CTRL - Change your hotkeys buttons, you can put items in it too like special or alternate firing items if you get it
K OR Clicking the Bullet when it's shiney - Activate your special bullet when you have it (Will flash)

Expert Mode Buttons:

To walk use W, S, A, D
To fire use Left mouse click
Right Mouse Click - Dash forward
CTRL - Change your emoticon buttons, you can put items in it too like special or alternate firing items if you get it.
K - Activate your special bullet when you have it (Will flash)

/end EDIT

As you've probably guessed wasd is used for the movement which then makes the mouse free for manual aiming and better turning as such, left mouse is shoot and holding it down will continue shooting, the right mouse button is used for dash which will drain your staimina bar when it runs out you will stop on the spot for a couple of seconds, a good tip would be not to dash until your staimina is drained but let go before it runs out, your stamina will recover quickly and you can dash again, this is good for getting around place fast.

you can check what controls are active as shown in the images below, the number below is the view range 1 to see things only close to you and 5 to see things into the distant.

5. Interface

6. Stats
You start with a certain about of skill points (20?) which can be used to improve your stats
Level 1-10 (gain 2 skill points per level)
Level 11-20 (gain 3 skill points per level)
Level 21-30 (gain 4 skill points per level)
1 skill point can be gained for getting a cosplay to lvl 20

stats start from 10 and there is no limit to how high you can get them
11-20 (costs 2 skill points to increase by 1)
21-49 (costs 3 skill points to increase by 1)
50+ (costs 4 skill points to increase by 1)

You can see you stats by right clicking on your doll and selecting ミッションステータス or press the purple spanner on the bottom left bar.

From top to bottom
アタック (Attack) - Increases the damage done of your shots
テクニック (Technique) - Increase the shooting speed of your shots
マインド (Mind) - Increase chance to resist effects of negative status shots and decreases duration of negative status
ディフェンス (Defense) - Decreases the damage you take when your hit

i use the other mode of the controls, you scroll down with the mouse and it will auto-select a target, shoot right-clicking (without moving it) or using the space bar, (you can keep it down and use unlimited shoot works ) move left-clicking in the floor or using the arrows in the keyboard, and change the angle right-clicking and moving it to the direction you like (if you mantain it in a place, it will shoot instead.) it is kinda easy modo compared with the other if you know how to use it, and....... the Clannad OP is in niconico screen, so sorry, byebye XD

it wasn't refering to Taskune but me who couldn't make it but i guess you could see it either way since it doesn't say exactly who couldn't make it

as for the lag compared to the beta the lag has gotten better in general but you can try going into options and switching everything to low (i'll post a few screenshots later showing which bits)

If you're referring to your request for a folder in the photos section, I have mod privs on the group forum, but not the group photos. ;)

As for lagging, yeah I ran into that during the beta. A suggestion might be to switch to the lock-on control mode, though I hadn't figured out how to do that yet. ^^;

I did the switch and i play on expert as always, its just that sometimes i can hit the monsters and sometimes not, most of the time i need to shoot ahead of em to be able to hit em and they can hit me easily if i stand on a spot for 1-2 sec, if i see something and evade i will get hit for sure wherever i am, if i move before time i won't get hit so you can guess how almost every shot from boss can hit me, not to say monsters except that in monsters i actually can evade doing it before time.

I didn't try to switch to low, if you mean graphic of course. I always play on High Quality.

I didn't refer to the folders but for your post and saying that you can't create it while in the end you actually could. I was referring to Hacks, jokingly of course~ xDDDD

i think i got to that lvl 18 but i think the story will progress regardless of level so it might even be possible to get to rescuing nagisa part at lvl 1
