gakuen alice: i dont even know y they stoped!
skip beat: this is an amazing anime as well that also got stopped
kamichama karin: although i might be wrong since i heard there would be a kamichama karin chu
d. gray man: they just stopped and i dont believe theres more out there...

all those good anime and many more that we may never know the continuation of the story unless we read the manga! (personally i like anime more than manga..

totally agree with you with Gakuen Alice, Skip Beat , and Kamichama Karin and the most stupidest thing they did with Kaichama Karin is that they "added some chu in the anime" they think they closed it off well but they didnt it wasnt that great of an ending =/

Most anime released in the late 90's were discontinued, primarily due to financial reasons. It was the time of the South-East Asian Economic Crisis, so it's no surprise, really, that succeeding anime releases were either horrendous in production or simply too pathetic for public consumption. What is more frustrating are titles that are on hold, such as Bakemonogatari, with no clear announcement as to whether or not the show will, indeed, continue in production. I find it particularly odd that they shouldn't continue it, given the show has one of the largest DVD/BD sales to date... and even other Nishio works are already getting their own break with a possible animated prequel and sequel for bakemonogatari (based on his other light novels, the name of which escapes me now).

But back on topic, I'm sure behind every stupid reason is a completely logical economic/financial explanation. At the end of the day, that's pretty much what determines the lifeline of an anime release and, sadly, there's nothing we fans can do about it, really.

Are you serious? o_o Yet to see episode 13, I thought it was finished when I had watched episode 12. Only learned later that there were coming more episodes.

So the word so far is that it stopped at episode 13? Oh well, just hope we'll see more similar shows.

Actually, they're making some progress after they just recently released Episode 14 two weeks ago... but again, it was an online release, and not a TV release. Well, I think it's a good sign, since there's just one more episode left... but to be honest, Episode 14 was pretty predictable.

Back on topic, I suddenly remembered older anime releases like Cooking Master Boy or Flame of Recca that, though almost finished, were pretty much muscled out and discontinued. Kinda sucks to see it disappear when it's at the final stretch, but that's animeconomics for you.

UPDATE: Yup... again, no final announcement as to the air date of the final episode. Only thing for sure is that it's another web cast.

Bah.. Oh well, I think I'll just save myself till the last episode is released, and watch it all in one good. I felt a bit down when I got to episode 12, so who knows how I'll feel if I just do one episode and wait for a long time.

Worst discontinued anime for me, is without a doubt Berserk. They were apparently losing ratings, and decided to wrap it up quickly. I swear, I've never raged that much over an anime's ending.
