Shin megami tensei games are really nice for PS2 rpgs. But most of them gives you a game over if your main character dies, so it is difficult for first timers to play them and expect a easy game. Digital devil saga and digital devil saga 2 are slightly easier in that aspect since the 'main character' death does not result in game over.

While its not a mainstream RPG, i strongly recommend jade cocoon 2 if your can find a copy of it. One of the most stress relieving RPG i played lol. Sadly, jade cocoon seems to end at 2 and wouldn't have a subsequent sequel

I would recommend, since all I'm seeing is very well known console games, Touhou. Just look it up on google or youtube, and you'll see what it is =D A nice addictive, extremely hard(maybe) Danmaku game. But very fun.

Does it have to be RPG? or MMO? well i suggest Luminary and wonderkings for the PC (recently addicted to it) lolz and for the console PSP MHFU, Fat princess and Bleach 6, for DS cooking mama and pokemon (sorry dont have a ps3 )

Hells yeah, persona 3 and 4 rock the house!
Dokupon Kingdom...Mario party can go screw itself, Dokupon Kingdom rules all. Only play it though with 3 or more people,
and expecti a single game to last around 3 months if you don't have days strung together to beat it.
oh, and you will end up hating everyone you play it with, lol
