In other words, I'll definitely be tuning into this because the writer wrote one of the best dramas last year. (aka Shining Inheritance) And I expect this to be another great one.  |

Male leads cast for Prosecutor Mata Hari
  Park Shi-hoo, Han Jung-soo Lots of casting news these days; here are two more roles that have been filled. SBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama Prosecutor Mata Hari, which will star Kim So-yeon, has now brought its two leads onboard: Park Shi-hoo and Han Jung-soo. Park Shi-hoo will reprise (and dial up) the cold persona he showed in previous dramas Iljimae and Family Honor, showing off a sharp, sleek style. His lawyer character graduated from college in the U.S. and returns to Korea, where he passes the bar exam. Though he didn’t grow up in Korea, he takes on important cases for Korean businessmen and is able to help turn those businesses into very prosperous enterprises. This gives rise to a lot of speculation about his past and background, making him a mysterious character. He’ll find himself pitted against Han Jung-soo for the affections of the lead (Kim’s frivolous prosecutor character); Han is currently heating up television screens (and ajummas’ hearts) as the slave-hunting General Choi in Chuno. Han’s character is also cool-headed and sharp as a prosecutor who throws himself into his work after the death of his wife. Expectations are somewhat raised for this drama given its production team, as the writer and director led SBS’s Brilliant Legacy to great success last year. Mata Hari rechristened Prosecutor Princess
 The SBS drama previously called Prosecutor Mata Hari has confirmed a title change. Now dubbed Prosecutor Princess, it will begin filming shortly, with first shoots on February 25. Chief producer Kim Young-sub of SBS’s drama department explained, “The producers thought a lot about the name of Mata Hari, which brings to mind double agents and spies. The opinion was that if this drama is to be enjoyed by all families, we would have to start by getting rid of the burden of the title, and decided on ‘Princess,’ which conveys a bright feeling.” “Princess” also seems more appropriate thematically, since Kim So-yeon’s character is a bright, lively woman who is newly appointed as a prosecutor. Though she initially feels that her profession is not suited to her personality, she grows into her skills and her job as the drama progresses. Family Honor’s Park Shi-hoo and Chuno’s Han Jung-soo co-star as a skilled lawyer and a chief prosecutor, respectively. Choi Song-hyun (Smile) and Yoo Gun (Mazzang) take supporting roles. The 16-episode Prosecutor Princess is scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays following OB-GYN, and will go up against Personal Taste and Cinderella’s Sister. Here’s a new batch of photos from SBS’s Prosecutor Princess.
  The first couple shots were filmed on White Day — the March 14 counterpart to Valentine’s — and capture the two leads sharing some quality time together. Park Shi-hoo’s lawyer character In-woo, who is described as mysterious and smooth, has set up a luxurious spread in a hotel suite for a romantic date with his girlfriend. He has prepared wine and chocolates and bought expensive luxury shoes to offer as a gift, and (naturally!) attracts the notice of Ma Hye-ri (Kim So-yeon), who runs into him by chance.        The next set of stills include the young members of new idol group Children of Empire (or ZE:A), who have cameo appearances in the drama. Their segment will be featured in the April 1 episode as Hye-ri goes to a club to blow off some steam after a confrontation with the chief prosecutor, and shares a table with the boys. The last episode was amazing! I was smiling the whole time. I'm just a little bit disappointed there wasn't a real kiss in the end (only on the forehead). But anyway, the ending was soooo sweet.
Hye Ri and In Woo are perfect for each other. In the beginning of the drama I found In Woo really annoying and I was hoping that Hye Ri would end up with Se Joon, but now I'm in love with In Woo, he is such a cool guy. And I love Hye Ri's parents, especially her mom. She is so adorable and I love how now she is the one earning money in the family, haha... I'm going to miss this drama. |
