I don't have a DSi, but from what I see the other bells and whistles don't really count for anything, they just make it more expensive. The online store to buy games onto an SD card seems to be the main addon that is worth something.
I already have the original DS, so if I get another DS I may go for a DSi, since I already can play GBA games with this DS.
Edit: I just looked up what the person above me mentioned, and seeing as the 3DS will be released soon, might as well wait for that. I hate it when I buy something and moments later a new version comes out (like Microsoft Vista! Agh..)

The only feature I still use on the dsi is the dsiware. There are some good stuff in there, but lots of cheap games as well. If you haven't gotten it yet though, you should just wait for the 3ds.  |

DSi has two cameras, and the DSi shop... which is kinda like the Wii Shop Channel, but for DSi. I have Dr. Mario, and an awesome freebie called Flipnote, and the DSi Browser... among others. You can also put MP3s on an SD card and listen to them and play around with them in the sound editor (or do the same to your own voice); or save downloaded games and pictures to an SD card. You can also edit photos you take on the DSi or saved onto an SD card, and upload them via Wi-Fi to Facebook. The only thing you can't do is play GBA games...
But that's not my problem, I have the Lite and GBA SP, too... |

DSi has a camera,unlike DS Lite and maybe other versions. It also has an Internet browser. And it's a little bigger than DS Lite. I use DS Lite,so yeah.. ><;
