When i first found veoh, proboley a few years ago now. It was so good anime every where, then they cracked down on it, and it came back, then it was cracked down on again and it became more commercial. It's never rearly been the same since. It's a shame though cause it's a good video player, and there is still anime on it, just not as much as there was.

I used veoh quite frequently. It has a a lot of anime that isn't on crunchyroll. Although megavideo is another choice, it just doesn't have the same quality as veoh. I also use my itouch to watch anime on veoh, now it's not showing any of their videos. Some anime sites that link streaming videos mostly comes from veoh. If it shuts down, there would be a lot of anime (older ones) that you wont be able to watch or find that often. It's just not just the site itself I'm worried about, it's really the amount of anime it has uploaded on it that you can't really find easily.

I myself didnt use Veoh but i think this just goes to add to the ever increasing trend of companies closing doors so to speak from the current economic downfall. It also shows that this global economic recession is far from over. Also it is safe to say that any of their affiliates will be impacted and it could then become more widespread. I hope this is just an isolated incident but I also think it is very possible it could pose a larger problem in the future.
I am sure that veoh closing down is probably due to its suppliers loss of profits and cutting expenses and risks that it doesnt need currently. As the saying goes sh!t rolls down hill so you can bet others will be affected if veoh was their supplier. Funny as much as people hated the "Trickle Down Economics." its proving more and more to be fact and not just a theory. Of course it proves to be more true for companies losing money then when they were making it.

A few years ago it was different (stage6 or something?). The quality was amazing and the video windows were bigger. I can't remember what it was called but I remember that video site went down and they said, "You need to go to Veoh.com now!" At that time I thought, "okay..." and I went and tried it out but found soon after that the quality of Veoh was shit and I decided it was just easier to pirate my anime via bittorrent.

It's no biggie to me that it's closing. It won't affect me any.
