I tend to get inspiration for my writing by listening to stories of suffering, since I believe that a core aspect character development is suffering and the breaking down of a spirit. When someone receives an emotional shock that is strong enough to rattle them to their core, a lot of different traits that had been worked into their personality will be dropped or changed, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst, but it allows for a lot more character development as you can show the process of them breaking down, and being rebuilt as something new, with different thoughts on life and everything else. Besides, tragedy is a very real part of life, and i think stories that have everything going for the main character seem like fake life stories. Even for a fantasy world, if everything goes well for the main character, it seems like the fantasy world is fake within it's own context.
But that's just my thoughts

well i understand it..anyway we would appreciate it if you join our group

Well, honestly I don't know. The ideas are suddenly popping out from my mind. But I usually get inspired by the things that are happening around me, the quotes that I read, things like that.

My friend and I once started one when we were 10, then restarted it when we were 18. Obviously a lot has changed, the writing is a hell of a lot better in so many ways. We've done maybe 500,000 words in total? Thats three 'books' and several shorter stories, all set in our own universe which combines our own characters, caricatures of people we know, random people we take a shine to in video games, but essentially set in the Tenchi Muyo universe! Its epic.

Only bad point is that, as per the original version, we, ourselves, are in it. But ourselves have also been caricatured to a point where we're totally different now, so its not really us, just our names!

Yeah it is fun. We take turns writing, 5000 words each. I take about a week, and he takes about a month lol. But we collaborate about plot lines and character development etc....we're stupidly professional about it!

My inspiration... music, drama, manga, and life.
I've written tons of Original Fiction and Fan Fiction. Some ongoing, some finished, some stopped. I've recently begun writing J-Rock one-shots to cure my frequent writer's block. It does help a little, especially when you've set a deadline for yourself

I love writing (even though I'm not very good) and my inspiration is usually what I go through in life and all the struggles...and why we're here and what is the human race and if we're supposed to be here and my religion, Christianity. I also like the theory of the apocalypse. Well not exactly "like" but it interests me
