Okay! Here we talk about that legend about the maidens who took out that demon thing. Please add your two cents and your own interpretaion of the legend. I'll start off with:

A long time ago, long before the world turned out this way a winged demon lived at the bottom of this town's valley.

Mobile Superweapon ala Armored Core.

The demon spit fire, shook the earth, and caused the people suffering.

Said Superweapon obliterating everything within range.

Finally, it carried off the Maidens that lived in the fortress, and held them in an underground labyrinth.

It took off just as the soldiers infiltrated it.

But the Maidens lost no heart.

They Stayed Frosty.

Calling on each other with golden horns, granted to them by an angel, they escaped the labyrinth.

Command was trying to tell them that they were Oscar Mike.

With the aid of a giant spider, they defeated the demon and took its head.

RAMIREZ! GET ON THAT TYPE-ZERO AND KILL THAT SOB! I'M SENDING PART OF THE SQUAD TO HELP YOU OUT! GO!

When they did, an intense fire sprung from its head.

Self-Destruct Sequence or Catastrophic Failure?

If left alone, the town above would burn to the ground.

Self-Destruct Sequence or Catastrophic Failure!!!!

To keep the springing fire from the town, the Maidens, each in turn, held the head of the demon.

Trying to prevent total destruction of said superweapon before it takes everything else with it.

Every day the townspeople cast water upon the flaming head and upon the Maidens.

Rescue effort from command.

One of "Them" was injured enough that it could no longer fly, so it used its tech to hole up underground.

The demon spit fire, shook the earth, and caused the people suffering.

Said Superweapon obliterating everything within range.
The burrowing operation did not go unnoticed.

Finally, it carried off the Maidens that lived in the fortress, and held them in an underground labyrinth.

Only the unit assigned to border duty (the original 1121st?) had the tech to be a threat, so "It" captured them.

But the Maidens lost no heart.

Amen.

Calling on each other with golden horns, granted to them by an angel, they escaped the labyrinth.

Command was trying to tell them that they were Oscar Mike.

"It" used ECM to suppress their communications, so they went Low Tech to pass messages (Morse Code?)

With the aid of a giant spider, they defeated the demon and took its head.

RAMIREZ! GET ON THAT TYPE-ZERO AND KILL THAT SOB! I'M SENDING PART OF THE SQUAD TO HELP YOU OUT! GO!

"It" was wearing a suit (Environmental? Power?) of some sort. The Vector-Zero hit an energy device, given the remains are still fused in rock to this day. All the unit could recover was the helmet.

When they did, an intense fire sprung from its head.

Self-Destruct Sequence or Catastrophic Failure?
The helmet had armaments or a secondary power source that had been damaged in the fight.

If left alone, the town above would burn to the ground.

They took shifts, looking for the Red Wire in every bomb that must be found and cut...

Every day the townspeople cast water upon the flaming head and upon the Maidens.

Some red-orange flame retardant
