1. BonTrapp Family Singers (Sound of Music anime version) - yodel~lei hee~hoo!!!

Austrian setting.

3. A Dog of Flanders

Obviously, this is a French setting as the title implied.

4. Heidi ( I just remember when I re-watched Gintama)

You do know that Heidi lives in the Alps.

2. Little Princess (Princess Sarah)

This is a British setting but the author is American.

First off, the Boondocks is not an anime! I'm really getting tired of hearing this.

Code Lyoko
Marmalade Boy
Baccano
I'd like to say Afro Samurai, but that's wrong, and do you mean an anime who's setting is in America? Or an anime created in America?

"well the fact is all cartoons are anime to the Japanese. The only people not willing to admit it are the kids who been into anime for less than 8 years." Just like to normal Americans all Animated shows are cartoons no matter what age group their for. Think Heavy Metal. MAXX, and SPAWN.

But yes I am talking about Japanese cartoons..

An Teen Titans is not one of them.

"No one said Mad Bull 34 yet.. One of the best Cop anime based in New York made in 1990 to 1991."
Or the really old classic 'Candy' witch is about a orphan girl who is later adopted into a abusive family. Where she meets three brothers who become her life line in a way.

Those are to I was thinking everyone would have posted. Maby my age and length of time I been into J-anime is showing.

I agree on Candy,. That one is a good one.
Code Lyoko is a good one
I do remembr the Teen Titans.
and wasn't Sonic X one? The place sure looks like an American version...and its japanese based.

What does fan subs have to so with it? I also not a fan of subs all together. SO I watch my anime raw or dubbed.

Anyhow I can think of a few anime that has been dubbed or has never even been subbed that are based in some American town, or some time in America's history.
