Well it did this year about 2 weeks ago.
We have not seen this much snow is this part of Texas in over 60 years. I'm glad i was here to see it. My teen took these pics so I thought I would share.

That's kinda weird to me because Texas is located in the southern US and it rarely snows like that there. But still, the 1st picture in this topic is beautiful.

Same goes for NY, it rarely snows hard enough for them to close schools... They closed school twice this month (I find that a miracle) and last year only once =/ Grats to those in Texas for seeing some snow in a while I guess? Idk wat to say ROFL

Whooaa... I'm in Texas too and it snowed around here, but not that much.
And yet all classes were canceled, haha.
We get a little overexcited about these things in the South... What can I say, it doesn't happen often.

I love that first photo.

lol...that's so cute. You people think that's a lot of snow. Try living in Canada.
But yeah, odd for that part of the country to be snowing.

My husband is from Indiana and he laughs at how excited we get. Shoot the schools close for the day if there is 1inch of snow. It was snowing so hard that they closed the schools early. DFW Airport recorded 12 inches. We live a little south and got 14 inches. We had so much fun. My hubby made snow forts with the kiddos then we made some chicken gumbo to warm ourselves up!

Yeah, it snowed in Houston about a month ago. I live farther south and when temperatures got around 36 the news was flooded with segments on how to live through the cold, since it's usually hot down here.

A few years back it snowed in my town. People were going crazy. The news claimed that it had been 100 years since the last snowfall. It was the first time I had ever seen snow.

We got over 20 inches in DC and the snow hasn't melted since. There was so much in fact, that the bulldozers had to move some of it into the stadium parking lot, which is pretty huge. I'm guessing most of it will melt during the spring, but probably won't be all gone until June; and I'm not exaggerating.

I used to drink out of a milk bag in elementary school! It was always fun to poke holes in the bag and shoot milk at the other kids :3
