Sports. We spend too much money on them. My school has a gym built in, but the school board decided that we needed another one. Three schools in the district got one I think and I heard they costed about $250,000 each.

Well not cut them entirely just calm down on the spending.

I agree. Sports get all the money. It is pretty ridiculous.

None, and another should ask instead of this one, which is "How do we stop the budget in school?".

Even though me county is losing money (fucking cheapos, I feel so much hatred for my county right now, the prices for everything is unbelievable now), we don't cut classes. We might cut programs, like certain clubs that can't support themselves. Other than that were not cutting any classes and I don't want any of our classes to be cut, they're all important.

Well. The cutting of the teachers and classes is contributing to getting out of the financial hole and alowing the schools to once again recieve decent funding.

yeah too much money my school spent 1 million dollars on a all weather sports field >.<

but they also give enough money for the technology classes

but not much to the academic class old textbooks with funky writing in them and ripped pages

and some of my favorite teachers got cut >:O

I personally don't think any subjects should be cut... Teens and children in school need to experience a whole variety of subjects, including sports, to find out what suits them best for later in life. Sports can also create scholarships for major colleges for a lot of kids... so i don't think that one is going anywhere.

I think that nothing should be cut from schools....i know something may seem irrelevant to you....but cutting education is the last thig that we should be doing.....as someone who works at a school in the end, no matter how much money you think we're going to save, in the end the kids are the ones who are hurt in the end.....bleh i hate all the cuts we're getting......it just really blows

Thinking back one the classes I used to take in high school, I can't think of any classes that should be cut. Although, I guess my high had some poor funding to begin with. So we never really had any "unnecessary" classes.

Math, science, social studies, foreign language, literature/English/etc, and some kind of physical education are all important. They all add something.

In a way, I might even think that elective classes are important. If your school has good elective classes, it may help you figure out what you would like to do in the future.

BTW, I never had any religious studies before. I don't see why that would be an important subject... I would actually place it under history (social studies). There's no need to teach religion in schools, unless you go to a private religious school. Separation of church and state (in a way).

no offense the cutting class is not doing good to students, because college students are trying to graduate, but they can't if they could not get their classes.

What is your concentration for your art major?
yeah I remember in eighth grade, all the electives were cut except for drama and music. Luckily I got to take all the electives before most of them were cut.
