Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
It's got one of the most legitimately difficult hard modes i've played on a modern game and I love the characters and story. It's also got these two:

Believe it or not, but Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (spelling) was a brill RPG on GBA. It really was better than the console versions who were non RPG. But it's not my fave RPG, it's a game that I completed numerous times. My favourite however was Pokemon.
I really doubt people have mentioned Pokemon yet.

if I played golden sun I would probably say that
but I didn't
so I'm sorry but I have to say Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga or Pokemon Emerald
oh yeah I also loved the Fire Emblem series
the first one was pretty hard, maybe because I was in elementary when I played it lol
the second one I never played it because it was only released in Japan
Sacred Stones was easy as hell because of access to easy grinding lol
