The answer to this question is "yes", it simply just can't be argued at this point. Will we have the title much longer? I don't think so.

^^ Yea i agree with that. If one simply looks at the facts, they can see that the US is still the most powerful country

No. I do not think that the United states is the #1 super power on the earth. There are too many facets of a superpower that the U.S no longer leads the world in.

We have a strong military so far. two years ago china had one of it subs underneath one of are aircraft carries. So who real knows how much punch there military has. Money wise the USA printing money faster than Scott's produce butt wipe. The U.S. economy has been sunk. the next round of collapsed Bank is coming Business real estate prices our going to tank. We still can be a world power but both parties are so full of it. With taxes going higher only the real stupid believe corporate taxes come from corporations. It just another self inflicted tax on the stupid. Corporation have to earn a profit what ever tax hikes get place into the product benign sold.

That depends on your definition of military strength. Which BTW if you like it so much, why don't you let the Pentagon in charge of the States with what they do?

Economically 2010 America Is ranked 7. Last year it was ranked 5.

That means the country and the people are more better off and more wealthy all around, in 6 other nations than they are in America. (this year.)

So no America is not number one in anything other than Military size.

I think USA has also lost military power, at least influence. But only recently. With Afghanistan and Iraq the US Armed Forces are overloaded with work they actually can't handle. It is proven every day and with bilances year by year. The USA is more depending on allies than ever before. They can't do shit without them. And they also lack money to do anything though they are spending more money on the military than the rest of the world together.

And when it comes to economy US has lost power long ago. First Germany, now China is export world champion. And with the depths their is no hope for USA to gain that spot again. Also with the EU the "monopolizing" on transatlantic economy has shifted, at least it is more balanced right now than it was 10 years ago.

So USA is no longer a super power in miltary way (thanks to Iraq- and Afghanistan-War they lack the numbers to be actually a thread at all to China, India or Northern Corea) and in the economy they lost power long ago. So USA is not number 1 anymore and that for a long time already.

I beg to differ, when the true might of the US military lies in its efficiency to eliminate potential military conflict with its overwhelming leviathan force. However this force's weakness lies in the fact that while there's no forces too big for it to handle, it's exactly too big to handle anything else.

In other words, the nature of the US leviathan force became its own blind-spot; it can quickly eliminate any potentially global threat via preemptive strike, but it can't maintain peace as long as itself is the single biggest global threat around(citation), while the US military lacks direction towards peace ever since the end of WW II.

Yeah, you're right. But why I meant is, that what is called the transition space in your linked video is eating too much ressources (money and manpower) so the US can't afford another conflict. And if you take that in mind as an upcoming country you do not have fo fear the US anymore like it was in the 90s. So the US has lost a lot of influence based on their military power.

And as I allready sayed economical power they have lost long ago, thanks to globalization.

No, not when the very fact is that the US transition force is eating up the profits gained by globalization. Which is done by China ended up buying the US national debt.

In other words, China's now forking the bill for building global peace, after the wake of the global economical war.
