waste of money if you ask me unless you're a Trekkie or an apple fanboy.

There's plenty of netbooks out there that are far FAR better than the Ipad and that also cost a lot less. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you'll ever be able to watch anime on it via crunchyroll, nor anything that's flash based.

Plus, I don't know why anyone would want to support a company that is a repeated violator of international child labor laws and human rights.

thank you for letting me know about the Crunchyroll app, didn't know there was one. Perhaps now that the iPad is coming out even more apps will be forthcoming..though I guess I need to see what is currently out there. I only have a basic phone for emergency purposes so I don't know much about using the web on a phone. Hopefully I can try out an iPad somewhere like Best Buy..not sure if there is an Apple store in my area. LOL guess I could show up with a list of my favorite websites and take one for a test drive so to speak. I just got a new desktop in January so I need to make sure it would be worth the $500. I wonder how well the new widescreen Nintendo will work on the web? I have the old DSLite..glad I didn't get the DSi with the XL coming out next week, but my PSP has a web browser and I haven't had much luck with video sites on it. If I can download video it works fine running off the memory duo. So much new technology out there! I'll say this much, I'm not sure how shut-ins of 20-30+ years ago stood it. Without the Web I'd go insane. Between meeting people online, virtual realities, MMORPGs and shopping it at least make my life tolerable. If all I had was TV...even cable, I don't know how I'd stand it because TV does not offer the social aspect the 'Net does.

It's Worldwide, but I live in Canada and in order to join the 2 week free trial you have to live in the US and have a credit card, and if I send in a post card now it won't reach you guys in time.
