Tokyo Loli Ban
Posted 3/12/10 , edited 3/13/10
I heard about this here: http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/02/28/tokyo-faces-loli-ban/

So for all the fans of loli, this could be the end, since all of Japan might ban the genre.

Hope this thread isn't a duplicate.

Who reported my post? I bet some smart ass did it for teh lulz or just out of some righteous indignation.

● An extreme stealth ban on loli material extending to “clothing or voices reminiscent of a person under the age of 18” has been proposed as an amendment to Tokyo’s regional laws, with clear nationwide implications.

● A summary of the relevant passages from the proposed amendment:
Any literature or film which might be thought to constitute a depiction of sexual activity involving or apparently involving a person under 18, someone dressed in a manner reminiscent of an under-18, or who speaks like an under-18, may not in Tokyo be viewed by or sold or distributed to any young person.

I actually heard a discussion about this on Nico Video on Kristen Dunst's video Akihabara Majokko Princess.
I, on the other hand, think it's a great turn for Japanese society.
Japan's well-known for lolicon now and it's giving its' country of origin a bad reputation.
And if I know one thing about Asians, it's the fact that most of us have a strong sense of dignity and pride.
When a country like Japan is being laughed at, of course they're going to do everything in their power to fix it.

If I didn't know better, I'd think that Japanese people like their girls to look like this:

Who said I was a fan of loli? I didn't say that I was nor do I care for loli that much. I just posted this here so people would be aware of it.

Indeed. It soils our interest and kills its reputation also.

The age of consent in Japan is only thirteen, so they surely don't do very much.

I really could care less either way

however I hope this doesn't cause some sick freaks to go after real life little girls cause they don't have their precious lolicon anymore, seriously some people are twisted enough to do that and if lolicon is what is keeping some from doing that it is better to have it around.

That is very true. Without their outlet, people dependent on loli might strike at any time. It may even have already happened.

that makes it difficult to sort out pedophiles.

good thing is that it prevents from breeding more of them.
