Hmm... maybe once we confirm there's another planet that also supports life then humans & animals can move and live there too! Then we will have 2 planets instead of 1 now! ^^

but it'd take a long time for humans to get there
I mean, from Earth to Pluto already takes about 23 years, this is another galaxy we're talking about
it'd probably take about a few generations?

It isn't another galaxy. The poster of this thread is just an idiot. The Orion Nebula is a part of the Milky Way Galaxy, about 1350 light years from Earth. The nearest galaxy to the Milky Way is the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy, about 25000 light years from Earth.

That said, 1350 light years away is still absurdly far away

Nah, it's not your bad, it's the guy who created this thread who is wrong. Posting a thread called 'life in another galaxy' without researching his own link is what I was referring to.

Edit: Spoiler quotes!

Considering the vastness of the universe the chances are pretty high that *somewhere* other than Earth the right conditions have been met to support life. However, it's not likely we'll ever see it face to face. It's also likely that that a majority of instances of life existing on other planets are just simple life forms and not intelligent life.

Possibility of a Multiverse? Although it has only been proven mathematically... But, You know what is interesting for me... Islam suggests in the Qura`an that there are seven (or several ) different Earths, worlds, and heavens. And this is coming from a Book revealed over 1400 years ago
