America gets involved in wars for profit. When they have nothing to gain they pull out. War is nothing but a business venture for the American government. The death of the innocent is meaningless to them.

Vietnam wasn't profitable. The whole war was pointless. I guess America wanted to stamp out Communism.

It IS about money. Britain has only just (around 4 years ago) paid off the loans from America, which was given to Britain to cope with restoration after WW2.
Britains 'allies' charged so much interest on an unnecessary amount of money, knowing full well that Britain had no way of paying it back before the interest kicks in badly.

Notice a pattern of money-lending after so-called liberation of an oppressive government. They put money into Iraq and inflation caused the native money to be worthless, but they intend to get every cent back and more so.

This would have applied to Vietnam, insane loans when the government is gone and afterwards heavy taxation to the people to make up the repayments. Luckily the won through it.

Sigh

Who made America the world police? (no reference intended)
Even America no longer belongs to America, it belongs to 1 person and what he says goes.

America has debt too. War is profitible in a sence. But It is also really expencive. America isn't the world police. It's just no one else is trying to do anything. I do wish that the American would lighten up a little bit...

It was because of America that the Hmong people in Laos are being persecuted by the communist Laotian government. I don't remember which president, but anywho, he went into Laos without the consent of Congress. There, they gathered up the Hmong people and made them fight with the Laos and Vietnamese. The Hmong people were called CIA's "Secret Army." The Hmong were promised so many things, such as freedom. However, when America pulled out of the war, they left everyone standed to die.

I'm glad that I live in America, but sometimes, I think the American leaders are full of empty promises.

It's horrifying watching clips on youtube about what's been done to the Hmong people in Laos.

I hate ALL NORTH VIET!!!! They killed my people and they chased us out of our villages which made us have no choice but to help the United State to fight the North Viet to get freedom. Which was A BIG MISTAKE that we help the US, because they retreated leaving us behind along, scare, hungry and I'am not happy about it. If you want to learn more about this go to youtube and type in hunted like animals and you will see my people suffer! =/

I'm not exactly 100% vietnamese, but I was born in Vietnam...so let me tell you what:
"We're realy happy to our country. No matter how Vietnam lost to any other country, Vietnam will always be the best in our heart."
Every has different opioions and point of view. Some like Vietnam and some don't because Vietnam use to be a toy for China, Japan etc. to trade with. No doubt that Vietnam will always be the best, but at least that what represent us.
