Castles, lions, witches, laser shootings, barn-hoppings? Whatever it is, you can share your ideas here. This forum topic is purely dedicated on brainstorming ideas for your stories. Anything you have, put it here.

You're in a situation called "writer's block" and can't think of anything? I've had the same experience so i would know how it feels like. This forum topic will probably help ease you through that part of the story you had no idea how to move away from. If you see an idea, your welcome to take it, but please, recreate it so that it won't be the exact same thing that the person posted.

NOTE: Just a note, putting ideas here means your also risking for people to rip your ideas. I would suggest you don't post the entirety of your ideas here as some people will pull it under your nose and call it as their own.

I hope you guys share your ideas here!

How about this! This is an idea of a new anime show!

Title: Star Gazing

Description: Kagoyama Takosumi is a girl in Tokyo Japan who goes to Nihori Academy. She is 16. She is extremely sweet, attractive, cheerful, and energetic. High school isn't easy for her. She is often picked on and bullied and stalked by her school mates and strangers on the street. One night she is gazing at the stars and sees a shooting one. She wishes that she could have someone to protect her from everyone and wishes that for once in her life, she could have a friend. The next day Kagoyama wakes up and finds four mysterious boys who are all 16 in her room standing over her bed. After about 2 hours of freaking out, she learns that the boys are her guardians until she is able to defend herself on her own. Each boy Kagoyama finds interesting. Kuto Nisa, Percival Nisa, Koru Nisa, and Hikagna Nisa each have their own personality. Kuto Nisa has long dark blue hair and is easily annoyed, but Kagoyama finds him quite attractive and ends up dating him. Percival Nisa has long black hair and is quiet and secretive. Koru Nisa has short reddish orange colored hair and is quite hot headed, but he is secretly in love with Kagoyama. Last is Hikagna Nisa who has long blonde hair and is smart and thinks of himself as a "prince". All through their adventure, they discover secrets, go through hardships, and there are some surprisingly unexpected kisses as well.

That's very cute, and definitely very manga/anime. What you need now is complications--sources of conflict. I mean, with four guardians, the typical problems of high school bullying are going to be pretty much gone in a flash. So as I see it you've got three ways to go (don't have to pick just one, though)
1. Supernatural problems. They're supernatural boys, the girl got them in a supernatural way, they could come with supernatural annoyances or dangers attached.
2. Conflict between them.
3. She's attractive, cheerful and energetic--maybe some normal guy falls for her, figures out there's something weird about these four guys she's got, and starts trying to get rid of them, banish them or whatever, because they're in his way. Normal as in not magical--he could be exceptional some way, whether brains or money or whatever, that might make him a plausible threat. And maybe he's persuasive--maybe if he tries to tell her that she belongs with a real man from her own planet, not someone who might disappear next time someone else wishes on a star, it'll actually create some doubts . . .

What I'm working on is very not-anime, I'm afraid. Science fiction with a strong political angle. Set on another planet, terraformed and colonized, but with technology not that much ahead of our own. It involves an anarchist society that gets invaded, and a young man's involvement in the attempt to defend it without creating a military with ranks, hierarchy and authority. Basically there are two fears--losing the war, or winning the war but losing the structures of free co-operation that make the society unique. The invaders aren't exactly evil, they're a nominally democratic society much like our own, invading for the kinds of reasons we invade places (resources, corporate greed). Quite a bit of the story involves running about in the woods conducting moderately high-tech guerilla warfare, done by squads of people who make decisions as a group except they elect a leader who calls the shots during actual combat, because when you're actually fighting there's no time for discussion. So the later parts of the book mostly centre around the main character, named Beowulf, and his battle group, although there are side scenes showing other parts of the war, the series of calculated provocations that lead up to it and so on. The early parts give a feel for the unusual society and some of the places, how they live, what they eat, how they begin preparing for the attack, hopefully giving a sense of how cool it is and what a pity so much of it gets bombed to smithereens.
I've got the beginning and sizable chunks of the middle, but I'm still sort of thrashing around with the details of the plot, and I need more characterization for the secondary characters.
