Well lately their is a massive up roar about global warming, Now is this a natural effect or Human.

Well through out earths History their have been ecstatic and dramatic changes in the earths climate. For example the Ice Age and their was a big temperature rise in the medieval times. Now a lot of people today that we are the sole cause of global warming, However the real opinion is that their is a natural climate change and the effects of that on the earth are increased because of humans.

So theirs my views which is the right one tbh but what are other peoples views. Doe you recon its all humans like hippies. Or are you kinda delusional and living in a world where it doesn't exist?

I am pretty sure there is a thread like this.

Honestly, I think global warming is something that people use to scare other people. I know that some of the glaciers are melting, but the ones near antartica are getting bigger.

Of course there are changes in the earths climate. That is the natural order of things. Human industry is speeding it up, but these things were going to happen anyways.

Idk if human idustry is the main cause. I am sure that it can't be good and that we should switch to more enviornmental and replenishible fuels asap. But I don't think that nations should halt all industry and automotive things that produce CFC's or Carbondioxide. If they did then the world economy would halt, and nations that refuse to change like China would just take advantage of that.

Hehe, I was just about to post the exact same thing. I heard a great program on NPR about this the other week. Even if the more progressive countries were to take strict steps to cut down on global warming etc, the countries that are more heavily based on industry such as China (it really is the best example available) would never agree to any kind of "pollution tax" or anything that would force companies to become more environmentally friendly.

I say once we switch to more economic and re-usible fuels that industry will become cheaper and cleaner. and if China doesn't comply, then the industries will probably move to places where it is cheaper. Right now I say that we should switch to ethenol. It would reduce our foreigh oil depencance to nothing, and fuel would be a whole lot cheaper.

Sadly I don't know enough about energy sources to really contribute here. I'm to much of a car fan and all I know is gasoline

I think ethenol is corn oil that has fermented or something like that. All I know is that it is linked to corn somehow. Brazil has already switched to it, I think that the rest of the world should be able to also. If so the world would be a much better place ^_^

Ethanol is also known as ethyl alcohol which is obtained through fermentation, but not only from corn. It actually is the by product of the simple alcoholic fermentation of yeast cells. Many farmers nowadays claim that we can use expired plants as well to produce ethanol. However, the biggest problem is that the use of ethanol increases the need for more space to grow the extra resources which is a big problem in the wake of environmentally friendly advocacy groups.

I really don't think ethanol is the way to go since it has potentially problematic effects. Anyway I like the idea of biomass and methane production. It works with mass transit so it seems promising enough.

What the hell are you talking about? Bush never denied that global warming is a problem. he stated that he could not determine if it was a natural trend or the result of human intervention. I don't agree with that, but you are really twisting around his words. Why would he pass the Clean Air Act then?
