I actually don't really want to be Filipino anyway...
I live in Vancouver, which some people call "Hongcouver" in a derogatory way... But in a way, it's true - many Chinese people and Hong Kong people live here. So yes, I've already moved to China in a sense.

My looks make people think I'm from Hong Kong and I'm a heck of a lot prouder of my looks, than to be known as Filipino.

There's nothing to be proud of from our country. We all say we're proud but what are we really proud about? Does our pride solve ANYTHING?

No, it doesn't. Our country is a mess, and no one's going to fix it. Filipino people are in a worse state than ever (since the Marcos regime) and they aren't willing to pull themselves up, instead serving other nations and tarnishing the national image.

So excuse me while I surround myself with upstanding Chinese and Korean friends. I won't lie about my lack of pride in my country.
