Hey guys.
I've played always wanted to try out those cool Japanese otome games.
But I wonder just how you fans are able to translate the words into English.
Is there a program or do you just know how to read Japanese?
Please quote. =)

Hello! I'm new to the CR environment, but I hope I can help you out~

To start, I've never taken any classes for Japanese. Ever.
However, I watch a lot of Japanese dramas with subtitles and learn Japanese that way.
Also, I recently bought a Japanese <--> English dictionary so I can look up all the kanji I don't know.
The alphabet (hiragana and katakana) requires just a bit of self-study to figure out.

Japanese isn't a super-difficult language to *understand*, although it may be hard to learn its full mechanics.
Usually programs translate it badly in so many different ways...I wouldn't rely on them to play otome games.
