Guys before you want to buy it... Please consider that there are risks that Nintendo isn't telling people about 3D... Such as potential eyesight deterioration, cause of blindness and cross-eyes...

Personally I would wait till they assure me that it is completely safe...

If they really thought that it would cause eyesight problems then they wouldn't have done 3D. You can turn off the 3D anyways if you're that worried about it.

Look... Companies care less about quality nowadays... Just look at the Xbox 360 and their RRODs... Its a pain in the ass... We live in a era where people earn money without remorse for side-effects... Plus I wouldn't be stupid enough to reference something as dangerous as getting blinded without a plausible source... A Japanese doctor mentions these side effects with timely research and study... And besides if I turn off the 3D, wouldn't that just be stupid... It would be like a regular DS and eliminates the point of having 3D... And Nintendo recently mentioned that every 5 minutes of 3D gaming, will need to rest their eyes for 15 minutes... Isn't this already a clear sign...

Not really. The main reason they have those warnings is just to cover themselves. I saw an article on gamespot about a month or 2 back that said that an American group of optometrists said that there were no adverse effects to 3D and posed no more risk than regular t.v. screens Out of all the gaming companies I trust Nintendo the most with their products. They aren't going to release a product thats a health risk to its customers and risk the 3DS flopping like the virtual boy did. Also, the 3DS is not just a DS with 3D. Its a brand new system with improved graphics and features as well as its own line of games.

Well you do have a point... I have yet to see Nintendo to do something stupid... And virtual boy was a epic flop...

Side note: Your last line has been overused too many times...

The only reason that I would buy the 3DS would be for the 3D remake of Ocarina of Time...or because of the new Kid Icarus game, since that's looking awesome...The new Nintendogs??? Hell NO!!!

I've got mine reserved. None of the launch titles look to interesting. I'm not worry about the 3-D. Everything in moderation.

Got to try a 3DS unit a few days ago, thanks to Nintendo staff setting up a large booth in a nearby train station. So I got a brief glimpse of how the 3D images would work with Steel Diver and Street Fighter 4.

Not too interested at the moment... the games slated for the next few months don't sound personally interesting. I'm currently more intrigued by small press and indie games on PC, 360, and iOS.

I got to try out a 3DS too. I'm quite impressed with it, but I'm afraid that I won't have the budget to buy one... not right away, anyway... I would definitely like to get one in the future though.

So I got to play around with the camera and its' features, plus the augmented reality cards. I was having a blast with the archery game and played with a few character cards, which was pretty cool as well (got a picture of me holding Link in my hand and Kirby sitting on top of a computer keyboard).

I tried out creating a Mii and the feature where the camera looks at your face and tries to fit it into Mii-style. I don't think it really caught my image very well, but you can tweak around with the facial features afterward if you don't like how it turned out, which is what I did.

Also got to play a demo of Pilotwings Resort, which looked quite nice in the 3-D effects; personally, I thought the effects looked really cool when you put the camera into first person perspective. There was a demo of Nintendogs as well, but I didn't get around to trying it out; someone else did, but they seemed to be really enjoying it.

Anyway, the 3DS is a really cool next step for Nintendo. I highly recommend that everyone gives it a try, if you haven't already.

Think I'll stick with my DS Lite for now until the 3DS has a more interesting line up of games and when Nintendo releases it in more colours.
