He's a small fish in a very large pond. He doesn't represent more than the dems in New Hampshire that voted him in.

I'm sure plenty of people with political power within the US have personal beliefs and ideas radical enough to scare you stiff. The difference is, most politicians know how to keep their mouths shut unlike this Nick character.

Agreed. He's small, but shouldn't he be keeping his personal beliefs out of his job in his position? I highly doubt his apology was sincere, and was probably just to save his own behind from getting hauled out. You're right, he should have kept his mouth shut. He's a bad example of a politician.

More so, he made the news, which for uneducated people or people that don't bother to look deeper into something, new stereotypes have just been formed about America's politicians that they may just as well believe.

Kind of like how they say Acai + Colon Cleanse is the new thing to help with weight, on the news...but if this is done often it can land you in the Emergency Room. Something about stripping the protective lining of the stomach and intestines over time which allows the stomach acid to eat a hole in your body.

Then the next week they announce something new for health concerns, only to take it back the following week and replace it with something else. Of course a lot of people believe it...which is the sad part.

I suppose social networking sites are one way to catch the bad ones...and I've heard of workplaces using such methods to figure out what type of people their workers really are. Such as if they admit to faking sick in their blog and ditch work. If they did such things often I can see it being used against them, but if they are a good worker and only do it once in their entire work time, then maybe not so much. It seems quite a bit like stalkers or big brother to me though.

Honestly, I think that comment is hilarious. Maybe his kids are lazy anime nerds?

Not to defend the guy, but didn't he make these comments outside of his official duties on his own personal Facebook page? Still, he should have kept it to himself.

It shows why you should care about who people vote for and what they are going to make you do in the future. I hope he is up for re election soon so I can send $20 to who ever is running against him and I'm in Colorado. Believe me that the "media" isn't going to say anything about this because he has a "D" next to his name.

There is an easy way to tell if a politician is telling a lie. His lips are moving.

Looks like the anime foes have found their Joe Lieberman. (You know, the Senator who hates video games?) And this guy is a Democrat? How did the Dems let him in?

LOL. What an asshole!
Just because you have power doesn't mean you can say whatever the hell is on your mind and expect people to agree with you.

You got to respect people's likings.

Wow........makes me wonder which anime he watched pissed him off to say that.
anywho, if he doesn't like anime, why was he watching it? he made himself look inane by saying something so tasteless.
