Lillian thanked the driver before she headed up the steps to unlock her door. Her lip was still bleeding but at least it wasn’t bleeding like a crazy person. A few little doctor touches here and there and her lip would be all better. But her bleeding lip aside what was she going to do? What if that subject somehow managed to escape? “No I’m thinking crazy, there is no way he can fight off all those guards. He may be a Crygene subject but still…” Lillian let her words trail off as she looked down at the gun. She hated guns; all they do is cause trouble and death. “Ugh I just want to forget about this dreadful night. A nice hot shower will take care of that but first things first.” Lillian quickly locked her door then made her way to the shower. One shirt removal later she was in the shower singing away.

Ghost caught the scent all the way through the streets, only focusing on the doctor and letting nothing else distract him, he even ran into a biker or two, but they never caught a sight of him, so he just continued without a worry. Suddenly the scent exploded and he stopped straight away in the middle of the road. He ran to the curb and sniffed the air, "She must have got out here". He looked to the houses and one stuck out with the sweet smell, which was almost addictive. He pulled out his wallt from his coat and opened it up. There was a small picture behind the clear plastic section of him, his mother and father. He put it away and walked up to the door, which concealed a room filled with the smell that he had been tracing all night.

He tried to open the door quietly, but upon noticing it was locked he decided to cut around the handle and lock silently with his nail. With three quick and precise swipes the door was able to open freely. He walked in and sniffed a little to search the room. He laughed as he walked towards where the gun was kept and picked it up, "Gun powder is so easy to pick up on the air". He sliced the barrel with his nail and took the clip out the gun, flicking each bullet onto the floor out the clip. He sat down while flicking the bullets out and waited for the host of the house to reappear.

Lillian turned off the hot water, draped a black towel around herself and stepped out of the shower. She was immediately assaulted by the same chill she had felt before but could that mean? Then she heard it. Some unidentified nose coming from the living room and she knew then that she wasn’t alone in her loft. She quickly grabbed a couple scalpels from under the sink and proceeded to hide them strategically before she walked into the living. Her long red hair was dripping wet as was the rest of her but the doctor didn’t care. She wanted the subject out of her home. “I’ve already told you I don’t have any information for you. So why and how are you here? Wait as though it even matters get out of my house you animal. I don’t want any messes on my rug. I’m sure you’re not house broken.” Lillian watched Ghost carefully unsure of what to do. Her cell phone was in the bowl by the door and she doubted the subject would allow her to reach it. Was she going to be murdered inside her own home? “If you’re going to kill me then do so, if not then get the heck out already.”

Ghost looked at her for a split second and as soon as realising she was only in a towel he diverted his eyes, "I'm sorry, I thought you would dress before entering". His fangs were not visible and none of his teeth had the silver shine that his fangs had previously. He looked completely human now, no features stuck out that would even suggest he was vampire. "You said before that you could assure me that every subject in Crygene had no family...". He pulled out his wallet and opened it up, the picture showed his family and him, with fully extended silver fangs, "How could a picture of me and my family be taking after I was changed if the subjects had no family? I would say that fifthy percent of the unfortunate subjects in there had full families before they were captured. I wouldn't be surprised if your company had murdered them beforehand". He looked around the room in the direction away from the girl, "If you need convincing I wasn't sworn to holding back private information.... And I know plenty about my project, before it got axed".

Without thinking Lillian walked over to Ghost, took the photo from his hand and studied it intently. She thought the photo could be a Photoshop but why would he go through so much trouble? No this was a real photo which made her blood run cold. This subject wasn’t lying about having a family and if he was right about that then what else was he right about. Wait I can’t let myself be drawn in. He’s a murderous subject and he is in my home. “Alright so you have a family. I am a big enough woman, I can admit I was wrong but that doesn’t explain why you are in my home. I could get into a lot of trouble because of your being here. No wait I will get into a lot of trouble if someone from the company finds out you paid me a visit. I like my job at Crygene, we are helping people.” Lillian set Ghost’s photo on the arm of the couch then causally made her way to the front door. She had to call Crygene and report this. She was not going to lose her job because of some subject she doesn't know.

"Crygene isn't helping people!". His face showed a little rage, but his eyes showed the truth, he was getting annoyed. "I came to you, because your involved with the mutant vampire project. They are my old friends, who now feed on vampire, human, child and woman alike. They were made for the pure use of destruction, a millitary project if we're being fully honest". He stood up and looked into her eyes from across the room, "I didn't ask this to happen to me, I signed a contract to be a sponsored fighter of theirs. They said nothing about these changes I would be forced through. I was designed to be stealthy for a use as a hunter, tracker, scout and infiltrator... A top quality Assassin. You think I'm a monster, or an animal because I kill for blood... I drink from blood banks, and so far have lowered my drinking habbits to a bag of blood a week. Most of your project subjects have at least two bags a day. I have killed 180 people, 179 of those Crygene soldiers and doctors, who directly were responsible for my current state. The other was a 9 year old boy, who I found being eaten by one of your escaped subjects that had no control. He was close to death and I tried to heal him, but when his airway blocked I couldn't save him and he died in hospital, while I was trying to give him a blood transfusion to stop him turning into one of my kind. I wish it upon no one on Earth". He walked up to her and put his wallet away, "You think you are doing good for people, but Crygene shelters you from the truth. Have you even been told the outcome of your current project?".

Lillian wasn't going to listen to his lies no matter how compelling they were. He was just a murderous subject trying to sway her away from her path of medicine. She believed in Crygene and what she was doing. Sure some of the outcomes have been not as pleasant as she would have liked but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Lillian opened her mouth to give the intruder a mouth full but closed it when he brought up a valid point. She had no idea what the outcome of the project she was currently working would be. Heck she didn't even know the official name. All she knew is that they were working on some sort of sterilization. "I'm not going to admit to anything so I think it's best you leave." Lillian quickly grabbed her phone and took a step back while dialing the number for the Crygene SWAT team. "You're a wanted target so I am sure more soldiers from Crygene will be here so you better get out of here right now." Unfortunately for Lillian she failed to notice that the call had not gone through. Since the current lab was being cleansed and torn down all numbers connecting to the lab were invalid. That probably explains why the soldier handed her that gun. Unaware of all this Lillian placed the phone to her ear only to hear the voice of an automatic operator system. The young doctor's eyes widen as she looked up into Ghost's eyes. She was literally screwed. "I suppose I can't interest you in a cup tea could I?" She said as she took another step back until her bare back was pressed against the door. She was trapped in her own home with a subject who hated the company she was currently defending. Lucky her.

Ghost looked at her and let her retreat with the phone. He'd escaped before and knew what Crygene did after a leak was possible, "Now what kind of company that only did good would need to disappear and move as soon as something escapes? Maybe it's because people don't know what is going on behind closed doors...". He walked towards the doctor, as she walked backwards, "... Especially their doctors. I don't drink tea, don't really get the thirst for it". He walked all the way up to her until she was inches away from him and backed against the wall. "There is no company here, just you and me. Now do you think I would go through all this effort and not kill you already if I wasn't telling the truth? You need to wake up and smell the dew". He looked into her eyes, "Look into my eyes, if there is human left you'd be able to find it and i'm sure from that you'd see the truth from me. His solid black eyes were completely on show for her to experience. Someone once said that the eyes were the windows to the soul, Ghost really hoped that was true at the moment, "I could tell you about your project and a rumour about the outcome if you would like, but if not I suppose I'd at least have convince you of the evil that lurks within that company".

Lillian’s resolve was beginning to break. The subject’s words were started to seep in and she was starting to have second thoughts about the company she signed on with. No this is crazy I can’t buy into his slander….but then again he hasn’t tried to kill me nor has he tried to drink my blood. And that photo… Lillian didn’t know what to think anymore, in the course of one night her whole world had been jumbled around by one man. “Let’s say this shall we? I see some human in your eyes and I vaguely by into what you are saying but do you honestly think I am going to rebel against Crygene? If I were to get fired my career as a doctor would be over and I would have let my m….never mind. Anyway I wouldn’t be able to help people and I couldn’t live with myself if that ever happened. So I am going to ask once more that you leave my home and never speak to me again. Of course I can’t make you leave by force but I’m sure if I start screaming at the top of my lungs one of my neighbors will hear and call the cops. Plus I doubt you have any real information about the project I’m involved with. I don’t even have that much information.”

Lillian stared Ghost straight in the eyes waiting for him to make his next move but while she waited she couldn’t help herself from at least taking a little peak at his body. Working with mutants all day long and old doctors was all Lillian ever got to see. Now there was a young, well at least she thought he was young, guy in front of her that doesn’t look like he was pregnant or dipped in acid. “I can’t help you in your crusade to do whatever it is you want to do to Crygene.”

Ghost backed off, "You see this isnt about rebelling, it's about destroying the new project and stopping the outcome from happening". He sighed and scratched his head in confusion, "I don't know how to say this... They are designed to take out the whole population of countries at a time". He removed his hand and looked at the doctor. "The project was originally designed to wipe my type out, but the aggression displayed caught the attention of the Army. You know that anything they touch becomes corrupted".

He looked her up and down and smiled, She is rather good looking for a doctor. He quickly snapped back into reality and cleared his throat, "Look, we have a hidden lab ourselves which was set up to see if the changes can be reversed, but so far no one has had an insight into the surgeries that went on to each person. We are trying to help the subjects, but so far there is only one terminal in the lab itself which contains the research and procedures that went on with each of my project subjects". He looked at her, "If you could just help us we have contacts in the Courts that could help eliminate, all we need is evidence. If you helped bring down an evil corporation who do you think would recieve credit? You or Crygene? If we pulled it off, you would be the most known doctor in the world. I would make sure of it".

“Look I may seem naïve but I at least know this much alright…Crygene does not take kindly to those who betray their trust. And I am not interested in betraying them Mr. Vampire guy so you need to leave my house right this second. I’ve listened to you spill but I’m not going with you nor am I going to give you any information. So leave or kill me.” Lillian was thankful the vampire had backed off because it gave her just enough room to take a step forward then to the side. Being pressed against the door in a towel, armed with scalpels was nowhere close to comfortable.

“I’m going to put on some clothes now and when I come back out into my living room I expect you to be gone.” Lillian stopped by her bedroom door and looked over her shoulder at the vampire. “Don’t bother looking around the place for documents because Crygene employees aren’t allowed to bring that kind of stuff home.” With that being said Lillian disappeared inside her bedroom and closed the door behind her. If she was going to be killed she would liked to be clothes first.

He sighed at the fact this wasn't going in. He went to the door and smiled as a thought passed his mind. The nail of his right index finger extended and pointed to a sharp tip. He walked to the doorway and scratched an "X" onto the doorframe on the outside and then clicked his tongue twice, which seemed to echoe throughout the whole night. He returned to the sofa and sat down with a smile, Why make her when I could convince her with evidence. He kept his eye on the doorway and kept his senses on the doctor and her weapons.

Thoughts of her entered his mind, This isn't normal, why have these appeared all of a sudden? He shuck the thoughts from his mind and returned to his focusing. He wasn't the one to take anything from anyone that only meant harm or bad.

The minute Lillian was dressed in some sweatpants and a regular tank top; she nabbed her cap and grabbed only one scalpel. She didn’t need all her weapons weighing her down for what she was about to do. Lillian heard the front door open and close but she knew better than to believe he was gone and quickly opened her bedroom window. She leapt out and made a b-line for her neighbor house. Hopefully the old woman would be there, if not then Lillian was screwed until the morning.

Night sensed the presence leave imediately and laughed, "I like this one, she is a fighter". He walked out the front door and jumped onto the room as shadows appeared around the house, "Hello brothers, this one seems like she could be of some help with the right push". He watched her run to the house and pursued her with a single leap and a soft landing. His full figure followed the landing with a step towards her, as his black robe slowly lowered behind him, "You are persistant, I'll give you that". He looked around as shadows darted around in the darkness, "I want you to see for yourself what your corporation has done, please come back inside, where.... "People" can't see us".

Before Lillian could even knock on the old woman’s door she heard the one voice she didn’t want to. Lillian turned around slowly and as she did she noticed that they weren’t alone. “So you’ve called some friends huh. Well I will show you just how persistent I am.” With a strong determination in her eyes Lillian took a deep breath then started screaming at the top of her longs. Luckily there were a good number of people on the street so if the vampire wanted to try something he would have to do so in front of witnesses.

“Someone help please this man is trying to kidnap me! Help…help….help!!! Call the police!” Lillian screamed this over and over as more and more onlookers stopped and starred. A few men actually started to approach them while others got on their cell phones no doubt calling the police. “Please get this man away from me.”
