sad to be loosing such great anime but....
there will be a season 2 for gintama :D!!! (all amazing info should be bold and red :3 )

You do know that Season 2 of Gintama happened about 3 years ago, I hope? Season 5 (which you referred to as Season 2) will be later this year or early next year.

one of very few anime that genuinely made me laugh. you shall be missed for the time being, i will wait for your return. hopefully though, it has some ...SOME.. of the main storyline placed , i dont mind gintama but if it takes 50 episodes to go somewhere near the main storyline, i would tear up a bit lol

First we say thanks and farewell to series like Gintama, Shugo Chara, Chu-Bra, So-Ra-No-Wo-To, Omamori Himari and Hanamaru Kindergarten that have come to a close after entertaining us for so long.

Fear not!

You can still watch your favorite episodes and marathon all of the awesomeness whenever you like! We're going to hang on to these guys as long as possible!

For Omamori Himari, "as long as possible" is already limited, since the videos tab has the statement:

All videos will be removed by Kadokawa thirty days after the release of the final episode.

I really wish CR would do a better job of making members aware of these type of limitations.

Blah. too Gintama is over for now...but I rather it would be in hiatus than for there to be too many fillers. The manga isn't over, so that's good at least.

It was really silly of me but, I thought that once a series was done airing on CR that it would stay with CR in their library forever. I guess not huh? Oh well, thanks for the shows anyway CR and I look forward to the new shows that are coming!

I am a very impatient person but for Gintama I'm willing to risk everything! I just hope that Crunchyroll takes on Ookiku Furikabutte so that I can live through all this waiting .. cus if not Imma die DX

Well acoording to http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-03-29/gintama-director-shinji-takamatsu/it-not-over It is basically on hiatus until there is more source material. Just going in a different direction than Naruto did when it had so many fillers at the end. Hopefully this will prove to be the case and we will see Gin back in a season or two. And as to the new series announcements what ever happened to the calender style of announcing like was done here what was it three seasons back? I thought that was a great way to do it, it created excitement with people trying to guess what would be announced on what day according to the release dates of shows. For those that weren't CR users back then a calendar was posted and there was maybe two blank spots on Monday, 1 on Tuesday, 3 on Wed, etc... There was tons of speculation about what would be added each day and tons of threads were started guessing since the calendar was posted 2 or 3 weeks before the actual release week. (I dont remember exactly how far before but at least a week or 2.) I really wish they would bring this method of announcing new titles back; I looked forward each day after work to turn on my comp to see what was announced.

i completely agree, You should bring this up with a moderator or Shinji. start a partition page even. Numbers speak louder then words of one

Wow, are those two long running shows really ending, or just taking a break? I never expected Shugo Chara in particular to end any time soon, but I wouldn't know as I stopped following shortly after Party started. Well now there's a good sized batch to watch swiftly.

I look forward to hearing what we'll get. Also I appreciated the well advance warning for Naruto.

Hanamaru Kindergarten was a cute show, nice story, but I really don't give a crap about the rest, especially Naruto. They should just end the series already if it's going to be postponed so much.
