You mean this : The January issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine is announcing on Thursday that Tomomasa Takuma (Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, Kurogane Communication) is drawing a manga that is tentatively titled Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya (Code Geass: Jet-Black Renya or Code Geass: Renya of the Blackness) next year. Goro Taniguchi, the director and story co-creator of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series, created the new manga’s story concepts and is scripting the story. This is the first manga that Taniguchi is directly scripting himself. ?

This is what it says on my web : New Code Geass Project Launch Green-Lit!
Wait for more info in 2010!!
The image also adds that this project represents a “rebirth” and that Geass will take a new step starting today. The message is signed with the name, “ZERO.”
In the January 2009 issue of Gakken’s Animedia magazine, the Sunrise anime studio indicated the possibility of more plans for its Code Geass science-fiction franchise. Sunrise created and animated the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series and its R2 sequel. Sunrise did not indicate the format that any hypothetical future plans might take. The Adult Swim television programming block ran Bandai Entertainment’s adaptation of the R2 sequel in North America.

Image for R3 : I dont know Japanese so i haf no idea what the pic says.

That image was released in December 2009 and was teasing fans about a new unspecified Code Geass Project. In January, that teaser turned out to be the new manga that he mentioned. As of now, there is still no new announcement about an anime project yet and if there really was Anime News Network would have already released information on it, which there is none. Then once they announce it, someone else would likely post here saying it.

http://community.livejournal.com/code_geass/

That is a site that I go to everyday for fans of Code Geass and they might be a little faster than Anime News Network for anything on Code Geass.

I'm still surprised at all the new post coming in here thinking there is a new anime. Some people are posting that there is no new anime yet, but people are so lazy to read that they just comment after reading only the headline/tagline. It looks like forums aren't very productive for discussions nowadays.

Wow to me it just looks like C.C, Suzaku, and Lelouch cosplaying.

Dudes, Lulu's back? I though he died. And crossplayin you mean. and dudes! It's a new season too see...but, i don't wanna see Lulu or Suzaku to look like a girl. I barely liked the first season....and Code Geass R2 rocked.

but, seein dat Lulu didn't rlly die is awesomly great news! XD

True. That's why a mostly-casual-anime-watcher-based community forum like Crunchyroll can lead to a chaotic muddle of..carp.

On to the topic at hand though, I think a spin-off would be good enough. I just hope it's not related to R2's ending, because if it does then one wrong step and the awesomeness of Code Geass would crumble before our very eyes. Whether or not it'll be an anime or manga doesn't matter though.

No! This cannot be true! Code Geass had the perfect ending and though it is possible to continue, it would just ruin a good thing. I won't believe it until I actually see tangible proof, which I hope I never do.

No. That is NOT the picture for the Third season of Code Geass, that picture is for the new manga that is coming out. Wow some people sure is stupid.

Since this has been stated a shitload of times.
