This problem is starting to become really annoying. First I tried the solutions listed and none of them worked consistently. The videos sometimes play the drama clip before the video and sometimes not. Sometimes basically 1 load out of about 1,000 page reloads the video works and even then It appears to only work at about midnight EST. The problem doesn't appear to be my web browser because video places like mega video and you tube still work. Is there any other decent fix for this problem other then abandoning this website? Anyone?

Please do the following:

1) Clear your web browser's cache/temporary internet files. (instructions vary by browser)

2) Clear the cache for your Flash installation:

- Follow this link to go to the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html
- Un-checkmark the 2 boxes
- Click the "Confirm" button
- Re-checkmark the 2 boxes

Then close your browser, reopen it and try any of our videos. If that does not help run the following tests and paste the results in this thread so that I can try and figure out what problem you are having.

For computers with Windows installed:

For Apple computers with Mac OSX installed:

For computers with Linux installed:

I actually couldn't see the flash video settings on the link, but I did the ping and trace. The videos occasionally decide to work.

Looks like a routing issue. You should follow the instructions in the link below to change your DNS but use Google's Public DNS addresses instead of OpenDNS's.

Google Public DNS:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Thanks I will give a try.

I changed the DNS and there doesn't seem to be a good improvement. The videos loaded relatively decently for a while but then they fell off and stopped loading. I am starting to wonder or there is something wrong the video streaming because it is only here that I encounter this sort of problem.

The current problem is that yes th videos work in short bursts usually for about an hour or two. After which the connection seems to simply die. This dead period can last for upwards of several hours. I am current attempts to simply get a connection involving opening about 15 separate instances of a particular episode I want to watch in desperate hopes that at least one will load. Is there an actual decent solution because I am beginning to think that is definitely not my personal computer or my network's problem.

Another possibility I have come up with is that perhaps the episodes are just taking a lot longer than I would deem acceptable to load. Sometimes windows that appear unresponsive eventually show the episode but usually after like 5 to 10 minutes. Any thoughts?

I changed the DNS and nothing got fixed. I waited about 3 hours just to watch a single episode and the stupid streaming device refuses to connect anymore. 3 HOURS for a single episode. This is totally f'ing ridiculous now. All I get when I do the tracer command is that all my requests are timed out. Is there a actual solution to this problem besides jumping ship?

Here's my results. I've found that i can watch the videos using IE8, but not with chrome, or firefox, but i don't want to use IE8 because it's far too slow.

Its kind of strange, now the videos work perfectly. The only things I can think of that solved the problem are that Crunchy servers got better (Unlikely) the other is that I install the latest version of Shockwave flash.

When that happens, you need to do the following:

1) Clear your web browser's cache/temporary internet files.

For Firefox:
- Click "Tools"
- Select "Options"
- Click the "Advanced" tab
- Click the "Network" sub-tab
- Click the "Clear Now" button under Offline Storage

2) Clear the cache for your Flash installation:

- Follow this link to go to the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager

The download feature is in the process of being removed and will be completely phased out by May 1st.

No change, i just done it now and it gave me this error again: Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL http://www.crunchyroll.com/common/static/flash/rsl/framework_3.2.0.3958.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching library.

Why? is it because of copyrights and all that kinda things?

In the past (when i was last on the forum a while before i lost my internet) crunchyroll had added a new player, but it had a link for the old player for those people who the new player gave problems to, could something like that not be done again? Because i would think that would solve many of the problems people have now.

Doing what I said should have fixed your problem so there is either some settings issue with your installation of Firefox or you did not follow my instructions properly. The old player will not be brought back since it has many more problems.

I would suggest reinstalling the latest stable version of Firefox (not Portable Firefox), retrying what I already stated and restarting your computer.

If you are still having problems after doing all of that, please tell us your Operating System, Version of Firefox, Version of Flash and what addons you have in Firefox.

I myself have had this issue as well, but I it is only in Google Chrome that it has been happening. I do know of recent I think both Java and Flash and stuff did do some sort of update or had some available in the past week, which seems to also partially coincide with the time the issues started happening...
I have had no issues with it loading in Firefox OR IE for me....
