I Have been watching tons and tons of anime online since i found out about youtube and then Crunchyroll, Besides that I have pevoiusly watched lots of anime on t.v, and some i buy.

Though Im a specific genre type. i dont watch certin genres, and Im weak to drama(ones that can get you teary) dont like those when im wearing contacts..

Certin anime types i hate= too much gore, anything that remortely seems like ponei poemi(ahh that was horrible), morel orel(wrong!!) or even bobobobo(my head hurts)

has this becomes a battle of numbers? the number of anime titles one has watched doesn't make one the biggest fan neccessarily, what about how much money one has invested? or tributes to anime like in art?

.....mon...ey? xD I try not to spend money on anime unless that anime is EXTREMELY good and worth every penny. Otherwise I try my best to watch as much anime as possible without stooping to downright illegal means. (Animecrave, YouTube and now Crunchyroll!)

Also I view anime as a never-ending hobby. There are probably thousands of anime series out there with more being made! Out of those thousands I'm bound to like at least a few hundred of them. =p So it's my goal to find those anime gems. (I've seen around 103 anime series so far)

i can understand the never ending quest to watch good anime, but there's a difference between watching quality and watching quantitiy. If its true one has seen 100 different series, more than 90% of it is most likely garbage, so id rather focus on those few series which have made an impact in the anime world and has a meaningful meesage behind it.

I'm on Cbisrasms side. I mean, I have seen a lot of anime and I am sure cbisrasm has too, but that doesn't mean that you are a zealous anime fan. What about other products other than DVDs. Like wallscrolls, models, bed sheets, clocks, figures, costumes, etc. How about time researching the credits of the anime.?How about making comparisons between different animation companies? How about favorite voice actors? Watch episode 1 of Densha Otoko and you will know what to expect from a zealous otaku from Japan. The American Otaku are primarily collectors of DVDs, but have spent similar numbers. My room is slightly similar to the one in Densha Otoko episode 1 except without the cases.

I second everyone. .. I have watch to much anime to know what the count is right now. . .but there is only just a few where it is good enough to buy and repeatedly watch like Prince of Tennis, fruits basket, chobits, Vampire D, and etc. . .I think I only have about 20 anime series that i honestly thought that were good in plot and artistic with well develop characters. . .
otherwise, i'll just keep watching anime on the net and see what is worth the money to buy. . . .Anyway it is true for guys to it is the quality of the personalty. . .the quantity of them is already low enough and if they turn out to be jerks the male species who are fit to live with are really only 5 percent out of the world.

how big?

way much BIGGER than you can imagine.

it's a fact:
you really can't enough right after you've seen an entire anime series/movie.
that's why, you can get as much anime as you want.

it's the quantity also...
because one won't waste their time watching anime
which is garbage.
