i'm a pretty big anime fan. Ever since i've found out about crunchyroll i am on all day everyday. I watch tons of anime on tv, dvds and youtube. I collect cards of anime and action figures. I draw and write stories about anime on Fanfiction.
So i guess i'm a pretty big fan.

I've been into anime for about 6-7 years, having discovered it late my senior year in high school. I didn't really consider myself a hardcore fan till a year later when I went to my first con.

I've seen more series than I can count... in my personal collection I have nearly 100 different series, and I just cleaned house not too long ago (why did I own agent aika again?), and have seen many times more than that. Thats also taking a year long break from anime at one point while I was addicted to WoW.

I've been to several cons, even flying out to one since thery're weren't any good ones nearby. My schedule is pretty hard to fit cons in, but I do what I can. One time - that I'm not particularly proud of - I even dressed up because the group I was going with did and I didn't have to make my own costume.

I even weasled my way into a very long (3 months) business trip to Japan.

I have a crapload of anime junk - figures, gashapon, manga I can't read, artbooks, posters/wallscrolls I don't hang up anymore, anime-related video games, hell i even bought a japanese ps2, etc.

I listen to alot of j-pop but not exclusivley. I'm pretty much a j-pop noob, but I do have a small collection.

I don't see how living in japan at a young age has anything to do with being a fan. It will give you a unique perspective on anime, but it doesn't really mean you're any more hardcore. It certainly wasn't a conscience decision of yours. Dumb luck really.

Now the people who go out of their to visit or live in japan because of anime - thats commitment.

yea hes right my dad has been to japan several times for work and brings me home tons of anime related things (since i was 5) but that doesnt make me anymore more of a hxc fan or any more knowledgable about anime than anyone else. that was a pretty ignorant and ridiculous statement on your part

I'm a pretty big anime fan, but not so big to go to Anime conventions and the like. Been watching anime for about 10 years or so with Sailor Moon, DBZ and the various Gundams.

My biggest dream is to buy all 42 volumes of DBZ, as well as the complete Naruto and One Piece mangas in the future. It'll be like reading a really huge book. Its been a really long time since I've read books on such a colossal scale
