You should really watch the FMA seasons. The second one is alot better then the first one. It removes everything you hated with the first season and improves on everything you loved. But you don't need to watch the first season befor the second since the story does not continue from the first season to the second. The second season start anew with a similar story.

And does Working!!'s comedy really rival Baka the test's? I should really check that anime out then ^.^

But for now I am sleepwalking... Returning to bed!

Have a good one!

Well I know I have praised Working!! but Ill put my answer in stone with this post. Working!! is not like Baka Test. At the moment Ill put Working!! as the 2nd best comedy anime but....the gap between 1st and 2nd is just too great. But I think you might like Working!!

I also consider Working!! to be a slice of life comedy...kinda like Hidamari Sketch just with more comedy than slice of life....except its the slice of life that probably weighs it down so it cant top Baka Test...but nonetheless I love Working!!

And thanks for the info bout the FMA seasons...makes me real anticipated to see it ^.^

I know Yui-nyan is a distraction from the rebellion side, but does Yuppie really want her to "just disappear"?

It think it has a perfect balance of comedy, action, and tragedy

WOW! I had no idea there were such flaws in the animation like that! Tho Im sure every anime has them but yea thats just obvious once u look for it. Kinda glad to see someone looking for flaws like that....would love it if you keep at it Its sometimes funny to look at how the animation has its flaws

Little flaws like those do nothing to diminish the quality of the characters, setting, and story. I find the show highly entertaining and quite humorous. Far Superior to the insipid unoriginal echi laden crap that is becoming more and more the norm.

Angle Beats! Sets the Gold standard for 2010 for several reasons:

1. P.A. Works and Aniplex are killing themselves on this production. Working close to 24/7 to put this Studio Key original series out the door. The quality is hand over fist above any average anime broadcast. How so?

The average anime series has about 4000 to 5000 drawn frames per episode. Angel Beats has an average 2.5 times more with 10,000 to over 15,000 drawn frames per episode. The "normal animation" of Angel Beats is on par with theater movie releases. Insane

2. Key A very successful studio with Clannad, Air, Kanon, etc games & anime. Expect to be emotionally boomeranged in this series. Everyone is spending all their time trying to peg the show to a previous anime series they have seen. But you won't be able to say "this is a Haruhi clone" or anything like that. The premise and execution of the series will be pretty unique. Yes it will be similar to other animes in some aspect, Hello!?! That is common with 100% of all animes.

3. Music - By the first 4 episodes you have a solid six songs (well, one a remake of the opening). Crow Song, Alchemy & My Song CD is fantastic. The OP song "My Soul, Your Beats" by Lia is, imo, a beautiful song that will be in my normal music rotation from now on (when the full version finally comes out).

And for Mr Flaw Master, have fun Easter Egg hunting. To me those types of issues are about as important as butterfly farts in the scheme of things. I guess you can classify it as interesting useless trivia.

I do feel that Studio Key isn't going to let this be a warm and fuzzy ride though. They are masters of emotional torture and I'm certain that Jun Maeda (creator & author) isn't going to let us off easy on this adventure through Purgatory. There will be casualties and some of those might be us, the viewers. So I'm nervous watching Angel Beats! because I know they are going to take swings. That's their job.

But overall, Angel Beats is the anime to beat for Year 2010. There are some really good shows this Spring 2010 season like Maid-sama, Neko overrun, Under the Bridge, etc. however, the anime that makes my week and what I look forward to it's release is Angel Beats!

I don't know about the best anime this year, but this is definitely a fun one to watch. Episode 2 was the one that really got me hooked, episode 2 was hilarious. The other anime that I've been craving for is Giant Killing, I love sports, and I think Giant Killing is massively entertaining. But hey this thread is about Angel Beats!, I say its a must watch.

Actually I think the last post was encouraging you to share your opinion, not to leave the thread. Could be wrong though.

Yeah I might have misunderstood it as well. Either way apologies if in any case I did offend anyone with sharing my views on another anime. And I'll repeat it again, Angel Beats! is a must watch.

Loving this anime so far.
As has been said so far, there's a lot of stuff that is very reminiscent of Haruhi Suzumiya. But it doesn't really make it any worse.
The animation was... kind of wierd at first, because of all the CG, but I've gotten used to it and quite like it now.
The music is amazing.
The story is really good so far.

The only thing that I can see being a problem is that there's tons of characters and only 13 episodes.
So most of the characters really won't be getting any development, which is sad.
Of course, there's also the novels and the manga and such, but I kind of doubt we're going to get all that translated any time soon. Though, I'd love to be proven wrong!
