Yeah.^ It's like this is a preview to that 2012 movie. o.O
First it's earthquakes. Then what..? Tsunamis? Hurricanes? =S
I hope everyone's doing okay, though. ;)

Well, we already have all of that... So maybe we're already in 2012? Just sayin'.

Is it just me or do there seem to be an unusually large number of natural disasters occurring in the last ten years?

No it is just everyone is wired in more and more to world wide news so now if a panda farts in some bamboo forest in china it is all over CNN, the BBC and every other news acronym out there instantly. So its another earthquake along the Ring of Fire. No big deal; maybe it will do some good and drive some of those east coast, mid-west and southern pansies back home and leave California to the natives who were born here.

I thought earthquakes were normal to occur, I mean, we were once Pangea and Panthalasa... nothing special

I was in Torrance, CA when I felt the earthquake. I felt as if I was on a boat. Relatives who live closer to San Diego said objects were falling left and right.

What else is new?

Just cuz the world's become so damn connected, you hear about every thing that happens anywhere, anytime.

Nothing we can do about natural disasters... unless of course it's unnatural. I smell a conspiracy!
