Adapting western culture into anime? I guess Bones has always had the eye for blondees and greenback. Either that or the anime industry in Japan is dying...

Now the main question in episode 2 is......did Stan Lee ever get his coffee cup refilled?

the first episode was good and I really want to see how the story progresses. also I've got 2 questions in my head that I want answers to, first how did Joey get a cute cheerleader to be going after him, and second did Stan ever got his coffee refilled?

No i think its the comic industry in the us well apart from movies and games. I think he(stan) may be doing it to get his other ideas out there what with the buying of marvel and such. |

Gotta admit when you compare how well US comic industry is doing in North America vs. the Manga industry in Japan it's pretty easy to see which one is more successful. That bloody Comic Code pretty much crippled us here, the companies are abandoning it now but who knows if it's too late.
Stan is introducing American Comic story telling to Japan and in return we are getting some pretty cool anime World grows smaller as we share each others stuff. |

I like Heroman. Joey is a little gay but it's a good show in a throwback way.

First ep was decent...
However, is there really any need to over-expose this series, simply because the next episode is airing? No, its just shameless promotion. Really, theres a thread for Heroman episode 2 on the mainpage, and now one for the Naruto double header, so why isn't there one for other series, like Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao or Reborn, or every other simulcast... From what I can tell, Heroman is not anymore popular than other simulcasts... Infact, going by the number of fans/comments on the pages, its less popular... This thread is probably the result of CR paying too much for an anime that simply isn't being loved by the anime community. This site is for Asian content and culture, we want anime, not cartoons. |
