Edit: Sorry for all the confusion. First, this was not meant to be a simulcast announcement (we have a few more simuls to announce later, so bear with us!). Haruhi is a catalog title we acquired recently, and coincidentally was announced in the middle of the simulcast announcement. Second, the first season is available now (eps 1-14 as soon as we can put them up). Season 2 will be available on Crunchyroll as well at a later date!

Hey guys,

We just licensed an excellent catalog title..(*drum roll please*) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya!!! Yep, you read that correctly! And better yet, we are making the first four episodes available to EVERYONE today! We will be releasing the rest of the episodes later next week.

I don't know about you, but I'm super excited about this!!!



The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows the eponymous character voiced by Japanese idol superstar Aya Hirano. A classmate of hers poses: “I thought that when I entered high school, my days of believing in aliens, time travelers and ESPers were going to be over. That is until she introduced herself. Claiming to be interested in only aliens, time travelers, and ESPers, Haruhi Suzumiya was the strangest girl I've met in a long time.”

*This is available in the Americas, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Africa

Wow that is quite the unexpected surprise although i was still hoping for something of THIS season and i already watched Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi but cant hurt to rewatch it here

More titles is always good, but it's kind of cheating to call it a simulcast of the current season when it is not. Complaining about such details though is pointless

Isn't this series.... Like, not airing anymore? It's nice you managed to get it, but it's not airing this season.. What's the point? I'm sure at this point, most people have watched it elsewhere, after all.
