NOOO WAY! I grew up with the exact same setup. Well, that was actually the only game I had, so it's a good thing it was a 3 in 1. I always remember cheating for the Track and Field game by just hitting that thing with my hands. Also, sitting way to close to the screen for Duck Hunt. Ah, man, I inherited that from some cousins after their basement got flooded, so the system wasn't working all that great, but when it was working.. man.. good times.

I believe my parents got my bro and me a super Nintendo and a Gameboy pocket when I was around 7... only game we had for the Gameboy was Tetris and it was the most epic game ever.

My older brother and I shared a NES console. That was the first one we had. We also had a computer with those big giant square floppy disks that had all kinds of games on them. We also had a Game Boy, and a Sega, and a Sega Hand-Held. And of course those have all been upgraded through-out the years.

Is anyone here so old that his first console was one of those pong consoles from the 70ies?

Close - I purchased an Atari 5200 around 1981 or 1982. I considered saving up for a TRS-80, but they were hideously expensive at the time (about $1600 for the cheap model, which would be probably about $3200 today).

the old and first PlayStation. Apparently it broke a couple years ago, probably before I started high school. I still have my old PS games but somehow, i can't even save over my old saved files.
